My name in Russian?
I was thinking, underneath my name, where I put "Striped Horse" for now, I was thinking of putting "Mr. Zebra" in russian. So can anyone who speaks Russian tell me how to say (And write) "Mister Zebra" in Russian. Also the Transliterrated version and how it's pronounced would be cool... Since learning Russian is basically all part of the fun of being a t.A.T.u. fan, knowing our screen names in Russian would be cool.
I wonder if anyone else wants to do the same too... |

That sounds more like writing it in cyrillic. (Just by comparing it to t.A.T.u. song titles I figured that out!) What I was asking was what's the Russian word for "Mister" and "Zebra". I know names are not supposed to be translated, but I just thought in this case it would look cool.

I wrote it in the previous post and it sounds exactly like "mister zebra" in Russian.

Mister should probably be "Господин"(short version- "Гн."), pronounced: "gospodin" (accent at the last vowel)
Zebra in russian sounds slightly different- second vowel is "eh" rather then "i" sound, like "e" in the word "shell". |

Ok, so a Zebra in russian is also called a Zebra but with the different prononciation you mentioned? Except it's spelled different of course, but as far as writing in cyrillic based on the sounds, I've figured out 80% of it just by comparing t.A.T.u. song titles to how they are prononced!
So that would be "Гн. Зебра" rigth? |
