And I expect next year in Oslo to be equally good albeit different, the last time they organised a ESC it was one of the best ones at the time.

Before the final performance, the winner dude invited all Norwegians to meet him up at the airport tomorrow, so you will know where to find the entire Norwegian population.

I liked the song that won, but I think there were lots of nice songs. I think a more dance-y tune should have been chosen, but oh well. This year everything felt quite modern - I liked it.

Oh, Eurovision is getting so boring.. why the hell do we know the winner already weeks ahead when this contest is getting bigger and bigger.

The juries were responsible that most songs were listenable because the rubbish wasn't qualified for the final. I found Russia's entry the worst, sorry - might have been a nice and extraordinary idea but this visual output was really bad... and the songs needs a lot of time to grow on you if it does anyways. I don't know why von Teese made an effort, really - so dull.

I have to update my top ten after having seen the show:

01. Iceland (so glad she became second!!!)
02. Estonia
03. Norway (he didn't sing so well tonight, fascinates you only the first time you see it)
04. Spain (well, you don't get points if the song was already sung a few times in the final LOL)
05. Bosnia
06. Ukraine
07. Armenia
08. Aserbaijan
09. Moldova
10. Albania

And yay for the second time NGGU was mentioned. The stupid German commentator mentioned NGGU, but not t.A.T.u.. Oh well. So we can hope Alex Rybak will kiss t.A.T.u. on stage now as he wished, haha.

There was block voting all over again, Greece-Cyprus ( that will never ever change, sadly ) Moldova -Romania, Bosnia-Croatia and the rest of the Slavic Balkans voting for each other etc. The jury mellowed things a bit and the fact that Rybak is from Belarus helped him get votes from all over the spectrum of the voting countries. So next time a western country wants to win eurovision they should do what Norway did

Though I wasn't fond of the UK entry I think it was a good thing that it made the top 5, they might send something really good next year ( there's no shortage of musical talent in this country as we know it, it's just that it's lost its way a bit in recent years about what should be popular. ).

Norway won, LOL. A good result for Eurovision. Got nothing against except that I hate the entry.

France - ouch
U.K. - told ya, it's going to score! - my vote
Turkey - I should learn a lesson "Olga, include Turkey into Top 10 no matter what."
Iceland - oh yeh, there's some hope for Eurovision.
Germany - bring on Madonna next time and make sure she's in focus all 3 minutes of the song!
Bosnia - loved it!
Israel - loved it!
Greece - happy! There's still some hope in Eurovision and Kirkorov/Rouvas can go and fuck himselves.

Haha, yeah. Gardermoen at ... what was it? 11 pm or something? On the norwegian interview after the show he said "I'd like it if 5-6 people would show up". Hahahaha. The whole air port will be stuffed, I'm sure. I'm actually sure the air port staff is thinking this can be quite troublesome

Anyways, hearing the songs it was too obvious that Norway would win. Seriously, there weren't very many good songs this year. Sure, Estonia was nice - and sexy -, Iceland worked, and I liked Azerbaijan - hot woman. Haha. And not surprisingly they were at the top, but after the first country gave 12 points to Norway it wasn't that much of a "fight" --- and I'm not being pretentious or cocky after winning, but that was my honest feeling from start to finish.

Not sure but I think I got 9 too. The verdict is - we are both the Eurovision junkies. So don't tell me next time "If Albania/Ukraine/whatever wins, I'm not going to watch the Eurovision". LOL. You will!

The funny thing with this show is:
Everyone hates Eurovision and it's still THE 3RD MOST WATHED SHOW IN THE WORLD! He-he. So now, guys, you just admit that you a homo... (wrong word, sorry)...an Eurovision junkie and you watch the contest each year!

I didn't like Norway at all ! Isn't Alexander Rybak from Russia or Belarus ? I can't remember, I'm a little tipsy .

I did like Azerbaijan very much though.

Thought UK were crap.

Lithuania - why did he change the lyrics and arrangement ? Song much better in original Lt version.

Liked Ukraine, loved their presenter - her cleavage got my attention !

Edited - Dita von Teese was also very easy on the eyes.

You don't need to like it. It's like rain. Some people like it and some people hate it. So, Norway is the winner and it's the fact. Btw, who cares about the Eurovision winner? I always wish this song or that song wins but I have a perfect understanding that tastes are different. So be it!

He have Belarusian parents, indeed.

And I guess I agree with Forre, in that way that I must admit that tastes are different, cause I can't understand how anyone could prefer any other song over the norwegian one, yet people clearly voted for the other songs as well! Hehehe. So yeah, that's just how it is I guess

I read (not yet) post from Mans Zelmerlow's blog about winner Alexander Rybak. Any translation? Monika ?

Quote:
På väg till sundsvall, stad i världen!

Is it true? Yes it is!
Alexander Rybak is the shit!

Let me do the honor

Translation:
On the way to Sundsvall, city in the world.

- Is it true? Yes it is!
Alexander is the shit! - But I mean, he's a month older
than I am, so I have more than enough time to get up to his level!

I have about 720 hours on me to win eurovision with
outclassing numbers. Oh yes, I'll make it.

Damn..

Now I sit on the train on my way back to Sundsvall again. I was there on
tuesday, but I didn't really feel I got everything out of that
trip! So now I'll experience 'birsta city' for real (I dunno what birsta city would imply. Perhaps we need Monika's help after all )!!
Moh sits and reads a manual on Classic Knee
Compression..in other words, everything is as usual.

Now I'm gonna eat pancakes. I was luckily able to sneak with me some extra jam.

Kiss and banana
