Culture Club, This is one of the most succesful 80s bands, Culture Club, with his lead singer Boy George. Now the group is about to start a Gig in December 7th,,, Boy George declined to participate so the rest of the members recruited a new lead singer,,, this guy called Sam Butcher is not the Boy G. looklike,,,,

New Culture Club frontman Sam Butcher was chosen as Boy George's replacement after responding to an advert on a popular UK classified ads website.

The 29-year-old sent a joke and a photograph to bandmembers Jon Moss, Phil Pickett and Mikey Craig after spotting the ad on Gumtree.com, not believing it to be serious.

The trio were immediately taken with his feminine look and invited him to an audition.

The remaining members of Culture Club (Craig, Hay, Moss, and Phil Pickett who contributed to the band's album "Colour by Numbers", "Waking Up with the House on Fire." and "From Luxury to Heartache") will launch a new tour with another lead singer. (George declined to go on tour as frontman for the band.) Earlier in 2006, the band's record company (Virgin) placed an ad for a lead singer to "...take part in a 2007 World Tour and TV Series." The new singer, Sam Butcher was selected because of his own personality, "not a Boy George lookalike." George expressed his displeasure in the press with his replacement. [1]
