Well, I know them since 2001 and the first album I listened from them was In a Reverie. Though they have been active for sure before that. If I had access to a tv rock show I might have known them from before. They only got famous fairly recently - with Comalies and Karmacode. So I don't know who has heard of them first, but I give you that if you like, it's not a contest
Don't like the term old school anyway. Lets just say I'm not much into the new metal bands anymore ( unless it's something amazing of course, there are still a few trully amazing fairly new bands who don't follow any trends, they make their own ) - because I don't think they're very good, and if you look around since the alternative thing became big , there are lots and lots of bands who are heavy without necessarily being labeled "heavy metal" or following trends. It's nowhere as crappy as it was in the 80's where you had those really lame synth pop bands without a note of electric guitar in their music and the really extreme heavy metal posers.

spyretto, I agree with you, most of the new metal bands are so so bad (not all of them but the good ones are rare lol)

first time I've listened to Lacuna Coil it was "To myself I turned" in 2000 or something like that and I fell in love with them (like within temptation few months earlier hehe)

All very good quality, except maybe Our Truth, but that's still good too. Closer is amazing! Enjoy!
Thanks for that. I've seen the other videos before except Closer which is downright fantastic.
