Comalies is pretty good but their best must be Unleashed Memories, I reckon.

For anyone who doesn't already have them I've uploaded their videos: Swamped (36.4MB) Our Truth (40.2MB) Enjoy The Silence (81.2MB) Closer (44.7MB) Heaven's A Lie (38MB) (uploaded by hullala in thae music videos thread) All very good quality, except maybe Our Truth, but that's still good too. Closer is amazing! Enjoy! |

Saw them live in Oslo a little while ago. I must admit, I didn't really understand the big fuzz about them. I thought they were kinda boring actually
Anyways, I bought the Comalies promo cd when I was in Oslo (haven't listened to it tho). I love promo cds; they're cheap and rare... |

I wished something similar happened to the Gathering too - though they don't make the same record twice to get some kind of fanbase ( like LC did ). The Gathering have their own cult fanbase but I can't see them getting a top 20 album in the US charts any time soon ( like LC did again ). First there was Paradise Lost, who virtually created the genre by using female vocals in Gothic - though My Dying Bride did it too - Then a second generation of bands like Lacuna and the Gathering who solidifyied the trend by using a full-time female vocalist; And finally a third generation of goth bands - Evanescence comes to mind instantly - who treaded on those steps and put the whole thing into the mainstream. It's ironic that the third generation is the one to get the most recognition. |

Lacuna Coil are pretty good. I am proud to say that I saw them in a tiny wee club with only 200 people in attendance.

I don't think they're the best live band out there but they're pretty respectable. I prefer their studio material though. |

I was into Lacuna Coil waaaaaaaay before they got famous. Nothing's too "old school" for me.
