Two songs of 30 Seconds To Mars:

A Beautiful Lie and From Yesterday

The whole A Beautiful Lie-album in general is pretty good actually. Who'd knew actors could actually sing

Lol, I'm starting to get all emo over here with my music habits lately.

I'm loving The Used atm. "Earthquake" and "Hospital" are pretty darn good songs.

oooo i want a guitar pick too!! lol
that song is fantastic. Judas Christ is my favourite Tiamat record. It has some funny lyrics especially in the chorus for Love Is As Good As Soma going on about snuggly bunnies!!

Too true! Judas Christ is epic. I think it might be my fav from them as well, but I really like Prey too. Where Judas Christ is kinda dorky Prey is atmospheric and pretty.

totally agreed!! Prey is gorgeous sounding. The melodies are lush and the hooks just as instant as on Judas Christ. Johan's vocals are the strongest on those 2 records. They compliment each other really well. They are great examples of metal incorporating pop elements without selling out.

I wouldn't call them metal albums at all, but truly, it shows their ability to nail the softer stuff as well. They really remind me of Anathema like that; They play hard and brutal metal in earlier years, but later get soft and chill and do it perfectly. Tiamat's latest was more straight on gothic metal though, while Anathema will still do their chill atmospheric rock on the new album. I'm looking forward to it

Genres make me giggle.
I love how bands evolve and mature. I hate bands that never ever change or allow themselves to develop. Case in point: Inkubus Sukkubus. A UK goth rock group who have put out the same stuff for god knows how long!
