Maybe this role playing game was a bad idea after all. I mean, we'll never agree on one movie, we'll never agree on the rules, on how the game's played. Unless someone comes up with a movie, the rules and everything else. In which case, some people will still disagree and not want to play. This is a loose-loose situation.

For what it's worth, I think 'American Pie' would be a bad choice.
With such a complex storyline, 'Fight Club' could have limitless possibilities.

Fight Club is a good movie, or at least that's what I've heard, cuz I've never seen it. Looks like if we choose it, I'll have to rent it on tape...

Why can't we make lots of possibilities for American Pie too? It's all up to our imagination.

Not everyone likes Fightclub, lol.

Personally i hate it and as a man i felt insulted by this movie. It depicts males as primal creatures that are testosterone driven and incapable of evolving beyond violence. Those males are totally insecure about their manhood and feels threatened by a polished society so they resort to primal violence to feel like "real men" because according to this movie violence and manhood are undissociable.

Actually 'Fight Club' is more about rejecting our shallow society and the notion it projects onto us that the only thing that matters in life is how much cash you have in your wallet, how big your TV is or how fashionable your shoes are. 'Fight Club' is about people who have become so numb with their monotonous, empty, 9 to 5 existance that the only way they can feel anything is to beat each other to a bloody pulp every weekend.
'Fight Club' is about a generation of people who are bored and unhappy and feel cheated by the very lifestyle that they had been told their whole lives they had to work hard to achieve.

"Goddamn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables; slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off."

This is precisely why this movie is an insult to men. Those men have comfortable lives but they are pissed because they're not millionaires, rock stars, or movie gods?!? Those men don't feel happy, they are insecure about their manhood so what do they do... They beat each other up! This movie says that men can't adapt to a polished society, they regret the days when you acquired your position in life through brutal force, the pure male society when you could just kill anyone you didn't like, take any woman you wanted, and be admired for that.
This movie taps into the most primitive male instincts, the alpha-male fantasy. "We have no great war", yeah, because war is the natural environment where real men can reveal themselves, slaying your enemies, taking their possessions, raping their women... those were the days when it felt good to be a man!

I don't agree with this vision of men, it's possible to be a man without being violent.
