You can get an EXACT copy of the Ipod Nano but MUCH cheaper (if you like the style of ipods) that is 2GB for £38.99 (now idea how much that is in your money) here that plays music & video.

Otherwise I would suggest: Philips 2GB mp3 player. My ex had that, it was pretty nice.

Looks like its the same price. But the zen nano has more features and colors and such.

Okay guys, I was wondering if you could help me find a problem to why my computer has been acting weird lately.

It simply either freezes or shuts down. Mostly freezes though. For no reason.
I don't know anything (I mean, I really know NOTHING) when it comes to computers so I don't even know where to start. Could it be something inside the computer itself? If so, what? Any software that makes it do this? I really wanna fix this problem as soon as I can.

I don't know anything about this but 2 or 3 times in my life i had the similar trouble with my comp. and it was due to virus .

marina, thanks! I hope so... then it's not so difficult to fix. *Runs anti-virus program* I just hope it doesn't shut down before it's done... 'cause it takes quite a while, and my computer is on for like 10 minutes top.

Edit: Nope, didn't work. LOL. I think it might be overheated or something, since it smelled so badly a few days ago.

open it up and check for dust in the cooler thingy.. hehe. My computer had lots of dust in it and it caused it to close down all the time. But cleaning helped and made the air a bit nicer around the computer aswell. Otherwise try to run different scanners. There is a danish help page at www.virus112.dk , which we normally recommend at work. And no idea how to use that one cos never used it myself

teeny, hmmm I'll definitely check that out! I thought maybe the .. thing, with the air, and stuff (for the moment I only remember the Polish word ) wasn't working so it made my computer overheated (happened ages ago), but nope....

I hope it's dust... I really really hope it's dust.. 'cause I'm an excellent cleaner.

My mom is doing shit with it right now, there was ALOT of dust, it was peeking out everywhere and I sure hope this will fix it because without my computer by my side my heart slowly fades away into a black empty hole.

dust on my old comps never did anything to them...dunno if it matters.

Ugh!
Ok, whenever I play a video, my whole computer completely freezes including the mouse and the clock OR it plays 5 minutes THEN freezes completely! It never goes back to normal unless I restart my computer by unplugging it because it won't do it manually.

I scanned for viruses and my computer is said to be find and good.
Does anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it?

Tatutaty, have you tried installing latest codecs for divx? if it happens when watching avi files that is. And if you've already installed them then try watching the video via. divx itself.

Heeeeeeelp! (Again)
Well my computer was messed up because something had melted. It's fixed now BUT my dad did something with the harddrives and I now have Windows XP installed on BOTH of them, so they don't work together at all.

The harddrive I'm using now didn't have Windows installed on it before, and the old one (With Windows) is not working... wtf? How can I bring it back to life? I had some important files on there!

QueenBie - There's no problem in running a computer with windows installed 2 times. If it's installed at 2 different places you'll get a choice at the beginning when you start the computer about which version of windows you wanna run.

He could have pulled out the cable that transfers information between the "motherboard" (... which is what you could call the blood-system of the computer,) and the harddrive, which you sure know what is. Perhaps he didn't know about the possibilty to run 2 harddrives on the same cable using the Master-Slave-choice, or he didn't have a cable that could do both those things, so he decided to do a fresh install on the other harddrive. I dunno. If the old harddrive is still plugged you should still be able to find it on "My Computer". There you should even find the files to the old windows, and whatever you're seeking. It's not such a big problem

I'd love to help you, but it's really hard taking a peak inside the computer when I'm sitting here where I am So yeah, sorry there. But if the harddrive is still working there is no problem for you to get hold of the old files...

How often do you all restart or turn off your computers?

The thing is ...I have just came across one conversation and lots of people been saying that they hardly ever turn off .....maybe only due to updates or power cuts or whatever...
That set me thinking , I switch it off whenever i'm not using it , 1 or 2 times a day ....i mean , more common rutine : i start it on in the morning , and i shut it down late night when i'm ready to go to bed...
Is anything wrong with me ?

I do almost the same Marina. Switch off when I go to work.
If not it's too hot in the flat and the permanent sound gives me headache.
