Cool Edit is good for cut and paste different tracks into one. I am not sure if it can overlap songs

haha ive had a mixman pro [digital turn tables] for a long while now..i just havent had the time to mess around with it yet.. im just trying to make a track for a skit im doing for school

i'm not sure... but you can d/l a version from 13.04.2005. so i don't think they've forgotten it yet

The thing is, I've been using this version instead of the 7.0 version. You install it and they direct you to an update...but since yesterday where I installed Windows ME from scratch, the update is not recognised and directs you to the Msn messenger page. In order to run 7.0 you need to also install IE 6.0. The same should be for all old versions of Windows ( 98, 2000 and ME ) All those older versions come with IE 5 or 5.5.
I sent an email about it to M$ but haven't heard from them yet.
So it seems they're gonna impose their crappy, resources wasting msn messenger 7.0 and IE 6.0 to all Windows users?

This doesn't surprise me cos they've been screwing with the sound quality of the mp3 for a while. I think they've been doing it deliberately to come back with those "computer tricks". The current mp3 quality off wmp9 running with the latest M$ codecs is appalling, not sure about wmp 10 yet.
Those two are connected, I think. They started by linking IE with Msn messenger, maybe for its next version they're gonna enforce wmp as well? I think the lastest IE+Msn messenger "bundle "is messing up with the old wmp 6.4 that I use for mp3's. That's the whole point

Help

I'm trying to download a streaming videofile. It's a wmv, and it's split up in multiple streams it seems.. so the end is cut out of the files when trying to download.
I'm using streamdown, and is wondering which streamripping program that supports the multiple streaming files?

The major "trick" is within "tuning" of the download's properties:
1) find the way through the menus to the "Download -> Properties -> HTTP -> User Agent string"

2) Select "Custom"

3) Type in the blank field "Media Player"

This has been bugging me for QUITE some time. And it always results in me having to re-start, and constantly being paranoid about everything freezing.

Explorer (the little strip with the Start-menu) always freezes... for NO reason. Sometimes folders and stuff freeze at the same time, because I keep pushing buttons to try and save the situation. So I wanna restart it (explorer.exe) but the Task Manager doesn't pop-up and now the whole computer is making crazy sounds and everything is so messed up, I have to restart!

This can happen anytime, anywhere. Often I have my computer on in the background while I'm doing other stuff like watching the telly, and when I get back everything is stuck and the start-menu and stuff isn't even visible anymore.

I thought it was adware making my computer go mad, but I tried it several times and it doesn't work. I also searched for spyware and crap but still, same problem!

I used to have that problem... My solution I reinstalled Windows XP
Consecuenses: I lost files and programs ***All my songs and important videos
I saved it on cd's***

it's really hard to guess the reason since there can be quite a number of them...
since you said it can freeze even if nothing is being done to it, then it could easily be a problem of cpu temperature or bad memory... you could check the cooler if it fits properly and use memtest86 to check out the memory
but again, it's virtually impossible to guess what's wrong it

i would reinstall windows if i was you queenie. youre only going to have more problems if explorer keeps doing that.

back up / reinstall

then patch your pc with latest windows updates
then install a firewall and anti virus program

then one by one add back all the programs you use.

Pfff... I'm too lazy for that! Besides, my dad installed Windows because there was apparently something wrong on the CD. He also deleted lots of programs I didn't want, like IE and Outlook and shiat.

How can I transfer files from my computer to my laptop? (specifically movies) I was told to use a patch cable..but it doesnt appear to be working? could someone please shed some light on this huge problem im having please!

Instead of patch cable you need to use crossover cable. You can see that in crossover the colors of the wires on each end of the cable don't match, they are out of order.
Once you got the cable connected share the files or folders you want to copy.
