Your 2004 Compilation Album

I started a similar thread to this around the same time last year. It's simple - you have to compile a tracklist of songs that have meant something to you over the past year. The songs don't necessarly have to have been written or released in 2004 - they just have to have held some personal significance to you over the last 12 months. The only rules are that you can have no more than 20 tracks and you can have no more than 2 tracks by the same artist/band.
Give it some thought and post your tracklists. I'm still trying to put mine together (and have been for the past 3 days!) so I'll post mine later.

Blink 182 - I Miss You Kish sent it to me in the beginning of the year. I ended up getting the album for my birthday from my brother and his at the time g/f. Been played a lot since, and some of their other albums has been added to the list since.
Lifehouse - Everybody Is Someone Well got to know about Lifehouse from the video Ripptyd put together. Everybody Is Someone is the newest song of theirs and the lyrics are really lovely.
Daniel Beddingfield - If You're Not The One All in all it reminds me of my friend Peter. Song is also known as "dd". It resembles a lot of the fun times through 2004.
Sebastian - Du Er Ikke Alene Not at all a new song, but again I've played it a lot this year. New found joy in his songs for sure.
Danser Med Drenge - Hvor Længe Vil Du Ydmyge Dig? Danish song again. Was played at the karaoke room in the club durring the first few times I was out with Vibeke.
Britney Spears - Toxic Never thought I would have a Britney song at any good list of mine. First I remember being happy to manage to avoid hearing it.. and then few months later or so I found myself almost singing along to it at the club. Now I actually like it..
John Rzeznik - I'm Still Here Pretty much sums up the year of 2004 for me
Ana Johnson - We Are For various reasons.. hehe

"what no tatu song?" - well, don't think any of the tracks stood out this year as something significant in my life at least.

Well, I had said in my first post that you should have no more than 20 tracks. However I'm having the same problem as you in narrowing down my choices into a shortlist. Tell you what - if you want you can make your album a double CD set! But no more than 20 tracks on each CD.
Sound fair?

Ok, here goes:

CD1

‘Comfortably Numb’ - Scissor Sisters
'Last Train Home' - Lostprophets
‘Sic Transit Gloria…Glory Fades’ - Brand New
‘Away From Me’ - Evanescence
‘Feelin’ This’ - Blink 182
'Until The Day I Die' - Story Of The Year
'Jaded (These Years)' - Mest
'Jude Law & A Semester Abroad' - Brand New
'Step Up' - Drowning Pool
‘Up Here’ – Powder
'Shut The Fuck Up' - Brides Of Destruction
'All Downhill From Here' - New Found Glory
'Cute Without The E (Cut From The Team)' - Taking Back Sunday
'Hate Every Beautiful Day' - Sugarcult
‘Yeah’ - Usher
'Los Angeles Is Burning' - Bad Religion
‘Memory’ - Sugarcult
'Punk Rock Princess' - Something Corporate
'Freddy Kreuger' - Reuben
'Paper House' - Fool Proof

CD2

'iGeneration' - MC Lars
'Dragostea Din Tei' - O-Zone
'Pretending' - HIM
'Rose Of Sharyn' - Killswitch Engage
'Shippensburg' - CKY
'Right Side Of The Bed' - Atreyu
'Ocean Avenue' - Yellowcard
'Hello Tomorrow' - Zebrahead
'Unholy Confessions' - Avenged Sevenfold
‘Broken’ - Seether feat. Amy Lee
'I'm Not OK (I Promise)' - My Chemical Romance
‘Heartache Every Moment’ - HIM
‘Fine Again’ - Seether
'The Remembrance Ballad' - Atreyu
‘Replica’ – The Ga*Ga’s
‘Can Somebody Help Me’ - Full Blown Rose
‘Almost’ - Bowling For Soup

‘Wishlist End’ - Fony

I really wanted to include ‘To The End’ by My Chemical Romance, 'Wild Child' by W.A.S.P. and ‘I Won’t See You Tonight pt.1’ by Avenged Sevenfold but, alas, I had to limit myself to a paltry 40 tracks.
Man, that was a lot harder than I thought it would be!
