I dunno whether anyone is interested but I thought I'd post some good German music here. I'm British & live in the UK but I have German satellite so I regually watch the German music channels There's quite a few good bands, here are some examples -

And I love every single song on Silbermond's album.

Yay German music!

I first heard of Silbermond in 2004 when I was on holiday in Menorca and they were on a music channel!! It was "Durch Die Nacht" and that song was great

Rachel got me into Tokio Hotel and Christina Sturmer.

I cannot stand Kool Savas (the children in "All 4 One" are evil LOL) & Sido - they make me want to throw something at the screen LOL

I also want to start an anti "Us 5" club - they are AWFUL! Although I know not all of them are German LOL

I love "Dienen" by Ich + Ich and "Die Eine 2005" by Die Firma.

"Die Eine 2005" was good but they play the song up & down I can't stand it anymore, besides I know the originial from 1996 and I'm quite suprised that the cover is such a big hit now.

Well I only add hip hop to let people know that germany has a few rappers*lol* I'm not liking them a lot but a few songs from them are great.

Christina Stürmer looks hot? Well everyone has his own opinion.

Yeah let's open an "Anti Us 5 Club" together...they're going on my nerves like Tokio Hotel

Yeah it is played rather a lot. People seem to like it though - it's been in the top 10 for ages

Yeah, I've heard that I can't comment on the lyrics because I don't speak a word of German but the song sounds beautiful!

LMAO Tokio Hotel are a million times better than Us 5! Us 5 are just another boring boyband that sounds exactly like the rest of them! Tokio Hotel are pretty unique in my opinion Have you ever heard Us 5 sing live? I haven't and I was wondering if they could actually sing well LOL

Well I didn't hear both live TH is on television everywhere. I look MTv or VIVA and then advertisment: "The newest ringtones Tokio hotel "Durch den Monsun"" then the video is played*i hate everything what have to do with TH, ohh....I like my city *

Of course are boybands boring that's one reason why I don't like both band

Well, at least Till Lindemann doesn't sing with his balls in a mouse trap like Bill does. (Granted, he's sung completely engulfed in flames, and they've covered their fans in fake cum in the middle of a concert, if I remember correctly, too, but hell, Lena's sung with Yulia's hand down her panties as well, I'm not about to complain about the nature of their acts. )

well everyone has his/her own opinion about that band

"Symphonie" is a really good song ecspecially when it's live.
I've a autograph from them. meet them in a jeanette biedermann (other german musican but sings in english) concert. a friend of mine just won 2 cards for the concert...well I don't like her but she has a good voice, looks sweet and her show was quite good.

Back to the subject...silbermond...I met them there and I was like the only person back in 2004 who knows them*lol* I was jumping as they do the "warm up" before jeanettes show started.
After the show I ran to get an autograph and I really adore Stefanie, she is nice, friendly and looks amazing


EDIT: My fave song? it's hard to say..."Sonne", "Moskau", "Amerika", "Ich will", "Bezin", "Keine Lust", "Ohne dich" and "Engel". Yesterday a special on VIVA germany was shown with the best Rammstein videos, voted by fans.
I'm not a fan from rammstein...my brother and dad only hear them..I get used to like a few songs

Moskau is pretty good... I've not heard Amerika yet, but Sonne, Engel, Ich Will, Mutter, and Adios are personal faves. I'm not quite the fan either, I just like them, but they're the only band my mother expressedly prohibited for me to buy an album of.

It's amazing that we have such good bands and musicans here in germany but the last time a "big wave" came over germany and german music hit the charts again Exept of "Rammstein" and "Die Ärzte".
I really like that because german music is quite good. the lyrics are really deep, like tatu lyrics, only understandable for me*grin*
Of course we have german artist who are successful in singing english like Sarah Connor, Jeanette (Biedermann) etc. But these persons were successful over years now.
