The voice is live. According to the rules, only music is prerecorded and it can't contain any vocal parts or vocal imitations, echoes, etc. All vocal arrangement should be done live.

Well, I've expressed my personal opinion about the songs before, and I was listening a lot to Cool Vibes, Stop, Buneca Bate Toba, In My Dreams, and the War Is not Over.

But as to who wins I gotta be realistic. Greece should win.
Moldova got no realistic chance of getting into the top 3

There is a safe way to know if Greece will win or not though and this is via the betting trends. You can't go wrong with that. If Greece revieves an overwhelming amount of bets tomorrow then somebody else will win, possibly Wig Wam or the Vanillas. If not, they should clinch it. I'll make my prediction 15 minutes before the start

almost like spy's, this is my prediction for top 3:

Greece
Switzerland (lots os Evanescence fans, I know lol)
Norway

Where Swistonia and Norway could be switched, so also:

Greece
Norway
Switzerland

and i completely agree, if Moldova makes even in the top 10 ... what a horrible nasty reggae parody!

ohhh, and i forgot what Hungary was.. i just re-listened - yeah, its not bad, i dont remember if from yesterday, but the song has some nice dance potential if performed wall .... and i think Russia will also slip in the at least top 10, if not top 5

Gregs Prediction: Skopje 2006

hahaha, ok... i'm just kidding. I'd hate it if Greece won just for it's contrived lyrics... blah (i've expressed this several times, and just doing it again).

I personally thought that Moldova and Norway were really fun and wouldn't mind seeing either in the top place. Looking forward to tomorrow

So far the bets go as expected, nobody bets in Greece cause they think the odds are too low and somebody else will win. Classic layman behaviour

Okay i begin to check the different videos and i'll try to make a prediction too , alter ..even if i'm not a pro ...
...so first impression: my 2 favourite are : Norway and Israël....but i don't think they will win :

Norway: the video of the Euroviion is bad about the sound but when i saw them last week , in swedish tv, with a very good sound I was......stuck.... I mean the song is a very good one love song for me ...
..the problem is their image: it could have a double result: Good in the meaning when you see them , you remember them ... / Bad: in the meaning ....for exemple , in France , Eurovision contest is watched most essentially by grand-mothers and old people ....for young people , Eurovision is the best exemple of "out fashion" , "has been" songs....young people laugh a lot when you speak to them of eurovision...
So if I imagine a french mammy seeing the Wig Wam , i think she will get immediately an heart attack , would be absolutely worry about the future of young generation and will NEVER vote for these Drag Queens!!!
So the most evoluated and tolerant block of Nordic countries could vote for them ...but in the same time you have other countries which vote and have a mediterranean side or like that ...and usually they are enough ...macho...so I don't see a macho man voting for Wig Wam Drag Queens!...

Israel: The song is very good as a ballad, the singer is good and has a powerfull voice but you have ,too ,the politic aspect aspect ...I don't know if Israel has never won Eurovision contest or even arrived at 2nd or 3rd places...even if i remember having heard very good voices sometimes..

So my two favourites have two handicaps : one moral and the other political ...that's why I think they won't win..... okay I return to check the others...

It's difficult to predict the psychology of the audience. As far as I'm concerned, those French mamas might be the ones who go for Wig Wam! There's also a part of the audience who watch the show just to see how low it can get and who'd probably vote for them out of sheer mockery - as they did many times before. Wig Wam seem to combine those 3 elements that make the Eurovision song contest so loathed and infectious: kitsch, retro and gayness. Add an immediately catchy song and four incredibly hapless dudes and you can't go wrong with Norway's entry.
To me it looks like the formulaic glam rock of the rocking chair generation

So we got 2 kinds of audiences who might go for them: those who are serious and those who aren't.

It's all about the show nowadays. I agree on Norway but I'm not really sure. It might be too heavy for the pop-liking audience.

Adds:
I got the info that the one song that qualified from the semi got the majority of votes at voting in the semi. The difference in points to the next best song was enormous. That song is going to win tonight. That's the verdict!

Top 10 (15) prediction: (actual top 10 in bald)

1. Switzeland
2. Latvia
3. Norway
4. Hungary
5. Malta
6. Moldova
7. Greece
8. Romania
9. Denmark
10. Israel
---------------------
11. Russia
12. Sweden
13. Bosnia-H
14. Croatia
15. Spain

This year my Top 10 was changed about twenty times in a matter of a few hours. This top is based on a combination of certain analysis, subjective opinion, trends and information from the rehearsals. I can't do it better.

I don't know who I'm going to vote for yet. It all depends on the performace but I'm wishing good luck to:
Norway
Russia
Switzerland
Latvia

I would hate to see Hungary win because it's BAD for the contest.

SHHHH*T!
I got my Top completely wrong this time because the results of the semi-final voting leacked out and it is as follows:

1. Romania
2. Moldova
3. Denmark
4. Croatia
5. Hungary
6. Norway
7. Israel
8. Switzerland
9. F.Y.R. Macedonia
10. Latvia

Switzerland was really so low?
ok, Greece's odds have finally started to drop. She has 23 other constentants who in theory could be stealing the crowd from her and her average odds are 2.5 while Coral offers as low as 2.00....madness
Hmm, I still think Greece will win. Unless the Eastern bloc make a silence pact to go for a particular song. But Romania's a bit awful to win, so what else could it be? They could go for Vanilla Ninja coz they're bound to get votes from both sides of Europe. but the song is not "universal" enough, and there are many like cool who don't like it, while everybody likes Greece.

So see you in Athens 2006
