I watched Fingersmith a BBC series and it's quite lame lol
adapted from the book of Sarah Waters, I'm sure the book is pretty interesting *lesbian sex* just kidding ... but books are always better than their poor adaptation

i thought fingersmith was better than tipping the velvet. both books are better than the dvds though

'Tipping The Velvet' was awful. The script sucked, the acting was wooden, the plot was boring... And the sex scenes were rubbish.
I never read the book though - the TV show put me off.

can't blame you really.. i'm glad i read both books before i saw the dvds. tipping the velvet was a good read - i recommend it for those who have the time to read

I just got around to watching Fucking Amal yesterday, and I really can't see why it gets so much attention. To me it seemed kinda boring and totally unbelievable

The characters are all so annoying. I almost gave up on watching it half way through.

why cant their be realistic movies, and make the scenarios believable and the love believable, i havent seen a movie where the love is real between the characters seriously wheres the love gone?... (as you can see im a romantic

Brokeback Mountain - Everybody knows it
The hours - Not totally lesbian, but it is the thing that thightens up the stories
Head on - Story about a greek guy, reeeeally good.
Kinsey - Deals with the issue of gayness and lesbianism
Wonder Boys- Tobey Maguire and Robert Downey Jr, its implied that they become a couple, really good.
Imagine me and you - Story about an engaged girl who fall inloves with another one, really "cute"
The velocity of gary - The best bisexual story I´v seen so far

sorry didnt see this before. thanx for offering, but ive managed to find it. and i loved the movie, has some special air in it, not a typical gay movie story, great acting, may be the best movie with gay story ive ever seen.

Saw it and wasn't impressed

It has its good moments, as does Fucking Amal, but there are very few of them. It's one of the worst movies I've seen in the past year

I've got Fingersmith, but I prefer the book, actually, and so does my friend who's sitting next to me. We think that the story in the movie is sweeter than the book..
And about Fucking Amal, it's a cute story, but I don't understand the attention hype either. Maybe because it was a pretty controversial movie in the '90s?

i've always thought fucking åmål was absolutely horrible and the few times i've seen it it's made me wonder why i bothered - not seeing the hype either.
as for lgbt movies i'm still waiting for the best to come along - there are a few rather good ones that i'll watch over and over. and obviously a fucking looong list of really really crap ones (anyone seen "do i love you?" and "girls can't swim"? both makes my skin curl and my toes crawl - or the other way round

i loved fucking amal, it had something refreshing in it. loved the acting and camera was nicely done. and the ending, happy but not corny happy.

liked the music too, few broder daniel ones and the 80s one, cant beat that. in both moodyssons films i saw, this and lilja, music was, how to say, choice of songs always perfectly suited the scenes and the flow of the film.
