I watched two films: 1) Can hardly remember. oh, yeah, Secretary 2) And finally Borat: Cultural Learnings etc.. The film was the work of comedic genius but the only cultural learning was that America is comprised of three kinds of people 1. mean/rude 2. double faced/fake 3. plain lunatics. And nobody in the film was able to understand this guy's humor. Another one I recommend is North Country ( a flawed film but Charlize Theron is an amazing actress for her looks ). |

1) 007 - Casino Royal
Was very impressed, maybe because I'm not a Bond fan and this one redefines the Bond genre. Like most, I was thinking "Daniel who?" beforehand but it turns out the guy is brilliant on the role, he breathed new life into it. Also glad that they chose a good - truly beautiful - actress to play the female lead, not some stupid bimbo. The two leads had great chemistry together. It's a pity that Evan Green dies in the film though I hear they might somehow bring her back for the new one. Chris Cornell singing the theme song was also a surprise! ( and another great choice ) 2) Tristan + Isolde ( like 007 this one was also focused on the love story. Great film as well. ) 3) Tale of Two Sisters ( Korean psychological horror flick, it had so many twists and turns at the end it leaves you wondering. Brilliant atmosphere though. Last movie you watched? (Part 2) |
