Ditto what Powerfuff said. Avril is a media-trained image. She put way too much effort into "look at me, I'm a boy but not really with punk clothes". She realised it stopped working and decided to change her image. Look at her now, she is a clone. She is no different from everybody else. From her new music which is commercial, standard pop/rock to her new video in which she dances in. She says she wanted to have fun with this album and make people get up and enjoy themselves as well as she being able to have fun with it. It's HILARIOUS! Take a look at that Popworld interview and the Charlotte Church Show interview and she boring as anything.

Talyubittu, you're a blind fan. No offense, don't take none, but the way you're addressing comments against Avril is ridiculous. "You're not a fan, you won't understand" is just ridiculous. With every artist there are as many flaws as there are perfections. But for anybody to not come to terms with that makes them stubborn and highly naive.

If she didn't like the reponse, I don't believe she'd continue her actions that way.
She does what she wants. She's not a rebel. Shes herself. No critic can eat away at who you are.

I'm sorry, but if you think Avril Lavigne is Punk or Hardcore you obviously know nothing about the genre and as the resident Emo Kid I reserve the right to jump down your throat about it... because Mossopp hasn't done it yet.

If you want Punk, and I do mean real punk, go listen to bands like Finch, Chiodos and Saosin... those are real punk/hardcore/post-hardcore bands. Avirl is manufactured pop with a very, very slight edge to it or in other words mostly SHIT. Under my Skin was ok, I could stand listening to it if I had to, but this new stuff seriously makes me want to cry from sheer torture. It should be banned under the Geneva Convention.

Haha, no one is arguing that shes Punk or Hardcore. She's Avril, she enjoys experimental music and even she dosen't classify it was punk, she says it's pop/rock.

I've just listened through Avrils new album and I think it's good. In my opinion she keeps the style similar to her former albums. I've only listened to it ones and so far I find Girlfriend to be the best song.

I'm also wondering if someone has or knows where to get some live performances she's done. I'd prefer mp3 rather than video.

In general,I'm not interested in her music but it looks she sings quite well.

I love that song! definitely one of my favourites.

I just listened to the new album, and there are only four songs on there that I really liked on first listen: When You're Gone, Hot, Innocence and Keep Holding On. I'll probably grow to like the others, but the album as a whole feels like it's got something missing

the first time I heard TBDT I thought: mh...well that wasn't what why I expected but now I love almost all songs...innocence is so touchy...The best damn thing, everything back but you & girlfriend rock.

I wouldn't say that, I just didn't really like a lot of the songs straight away like I did with the songs on the other two albums. Try listening to it, you might really like it It's always worth listening to new music anyway
