Some random tuneage that's been floating through my conciousness of late:

'Survival Of The Sickest' - Saliva
'Wasteland' - The Mission <- the perfect soundtrack to driving accross Scotland in the wee small hours of the night
'Soul On Fire' - HIM
'Your Mother's Got A Penis' - Goldie Lookin' Chain
'I Wish I Had An Angel' - Nightwish
'Twenty Years' - Placebo
'Teethgrinder' - Therapy?
'Vermilion' - Slipknot
'What You Waiting For?' - Gwen Stefani
'Sideways In Reverse' - The Mark Lanegan Band
'Smashed Into Pieces' - Silverstien

*sigh* It's been difficult for me to get a "playlist" going since ScuzzTV went to the dogs. That channel was my number 1 source for decent tracks.

One CD that's hardly ever out of my discman recently is 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge' by My Chemical Romance. Anyone who actually bothers to read my lists will have noticed that their track, 'I'm Not OK (I Promise)', has been in practically all of my lists over the past 4 months! 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge' is MCR's second full-length. It is apparently a concept album about a man who comes back from the dead to find the woman he loves, but each track stands up pretty damn well on it's own. It's definately a contender for my Album Of The Year! My Chemical Romance RULE! Plus they have cool song titles like 'Thank You For The Venom' and 'It's Not A Fashion Statement, It's A Fucking Deathwish'!
Describe their sound? Hmmmm, does "goth punk" make any sense? Check out their official site - MCRonline - I think it has song clips on it. If not, download something of theirs. For a first-time listener I recommend 'To The End', 'You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison' and 'Cemetary Drive'.
And no, the band are not paying me for this promo (although they sure as hell should be!).

The Undertones - Teenage Kicks (in memory of John Peel, who died today - he will be missed)

Also playing Depeche Mode remixes 81-04, and of course none of my playlists would be complete without some Rammstein !

Amen to that!
I was shocked to learn that Peel had passed away. I didn't always agree with his taste in music but there's no denying that the man was a major influence in so many ways.
RIP John.

Matchbox Twenty - Downfall
Smile Empty Soul - I Want My Life
Story of the Year - And The Hero Will Drown
Sugarcult - Crying
Seether - Broken w/Amy Lee (ha, 4 S's in a row)
Stone Temple Pilots - Still Remains (think that makes 6 S's)
Lucerin Blue - Cold
Damageplan - Blunt Force Trauma (eh, a little too much yelling, but not that bad)
Linkin Park - In The End
Deftones - Minerva
RHCP - This Is The Place
Audiovent - Gravity (I just learned that, sadly, this band has been dropped from their label, and their lead singer has left. If they ever make a second album, it'll have to be with a new label and a new singer. Seriously, this band isn't well known, but they're one of my top favorites.)
Staind - Fill Me Up

Girls Aloud: Some Kind of Miracle
Holy Terror: I Take It Back
Nirvana: Do Re Mi
Rammstein: Das Modell

I'm not sure if shouting too much really does turn your face blue. But Holy Terror make me want to stand in the centre of Sheffield and shout at people that they should spend all their money on Holy Terror records - and then sell their children for more Holy Terror records - doing so until not only has my faced turned blue, but until my neck, torso, arms and indeed inner thighs have also gone a shade of ultramarine.

In other words, I quite like them.

Right on man! Why would such over-obsessive, anti-negative, strictly positive, Tatu worshipping fans who want nothing else but sleep with the girls and who dream about the girls every single night and discuss which sock Tatu put on first - the left or the right one - not wanna be on this forum?!
