Well, it would be decent if Portugal went to the Final. Of course we'd have the last place in the final, but hey - at least we would get there

I think Ukraine will go to the final and win. Although the only song I actually like this year is the one from Germany - of course it will score poorly, because the Eurovision audience have no taste.

I haven't heard the other songs, but the ones, I heard tonight, and I like the most Ukraine cos of this rhythm! So I'm not the only one, who thinks it's a good song!

Eurovision is...... i don't understand
the songs are usually so cheesy and plain horrible! yet millions of people watch. and who has ever gotten famous from Eurovision? ABBA and who else? it's just a strange concept. I don't know why people participate.
What I'd like to see is a band that completely tears up the stage, just rocking out. Completely different from the Eurovison 'type' and see what happens

The only song I remotely like is Ukraine's. It's interesting. But the others that i've listened to are just crap! And Poland........what were you thinking?!

I think the trick is the same as in soccer championshiips - the gool old countries vs other countries war. Of course it's really silly, because a song by some random artist doesn't say anything about a country (rarely), but people seem to grab on to everything that might give their country a sense of victory. I think that's the secret behind Eurovision - even with all the circus and cheap performances, people still wanna see what comes out of it.

So it's really about nationality and pride in your country? hmmm...interesting. I've heard that the voting can get political and/or rigged. So it's not much of a talent contest. But then again, judging from the "quality" of Eurovision songs, it never seemed like much of a talent contest.

Maybe it's like the Special Olympics. Everyone's dumb in some way, but someone comes out on top

Heh. We droped out. Like expected. And we deserved it as well. Terrible song, terrible performers. What was particulary odd about the pre-finals this year was that there wasn't ONE song that I'd really like. This competition is drowning in mediocracy. o_0 And it wasn't always like that. *sighs*

Hey ppl, who cares how bad Eurovision is. It's fun. Eurovision just IS. Like love.

Cyprus has the most decent singing but she can get nervous. She'll probably end at the 3:d position. Will have to check the upcoming rehearsals but I don't see anyone can threaten Ukraine. Ukraine can sing, dance and has an uptempo euro-power-techno-etno ... hi-hi. Many people would love it. Ukraine has a clear image too - XENAAAAA!!! So they have a complete show.

Forget about Cyprus! Since the televoting has been introduced, there's no ballade that won, no matter how good it is.

People who vote will see that Xena-show only once. It's effective enough to make ppl vote for it.

It's hillarious that we were the ONLY Ex-Yugoslav republic not to make it through to the finals. I mean Serbia & Crna Gora, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia... we were the only ones missing. Says alot about music in Slovenia.
