I don't say that France will win this match but I bet with you about Ribery.
Rendez-vous in 2 years.

This game is surprisingly defensive. No way any of the teams will score unless something catastrophic happens in defense. We're seeing either a late 2:1 or penalty shootouts today imo.
Now I dunno who to root for anymore. I like the young Spanish team, but at the same time it'd be sad to see Zidane for the last time.

Well, at the moment France are on top, unfortunately. I'm just hoping Spain can survive till the end.

edit: they didn't. bye bye Spain?

Sad but true. One good game from France was enough. Spain were the stupid ones tonight.

What a great opportunity for Brazil to get revenge and annihilate France in the next round. Will be watching with great interest on Zidane's farewell night, Saturday July 1st, end of an era for France.

For him, it was a real Honor to play in the French Team...so he was very impressed, feeling a little insecure because he was afraid to bring some deception...
I hope this goal will secure and release him for the future.

Brazil has some bad experience with France... we'll see how that goes. To be honest I'm not looking forward to Brazil vs France... If there's one team that Brazil can't play against it's this one. Bad luck in the draw.

After your team loses, it will be a while before we see the French in the World Cup again. It will be like in the early 90's, a total drought. I predict the next time France will be in the World Cup will be hmmm, how about... 2018? Looks like a good prediction.
Maybe Greece will make it in the WC before France.

Ribery will be selling roasted chestnuts outside Parc des Princes by then

Blah, blah, blah… France is among the 8 best teams in the world and that's good enough. People are celebrating in the streets right now, the city is shooting fireworks.
But bring back your French hating in 4 days, whatever.

haha, they're shooting fireworks because you made it in the last 8? What a falling in expectations for the former European and World champions, lol.
As I said, will be setting the house ablaze when your undeserving, arrogant team dies in the next round. A place in the last 8 should be absolutely nothing for France. I can't believe you're even celebrating...
Samba!

I know it's difficult to comprehend the crude facts, especially if you're French and the criticism is directed at your team. But I'm not going to stop as I didn't with the Dutch team and the others.
To be honest though, France played very well, and the Spaniards showed their stupidity and their lack of winning mentality once more. That doesn't mean that France should be eulogised for playing 3 crappy games and rising to the occasion when it mattered. It's 3 against 1.

So it's all blah blah blah, lets see what France does vs Brazil ( for me it's an imminent death but will see )
But as far as I'm concerned the French should be happy with a quarter finals place as they have exceeded all expectations already.

I also hope that Brazil wins the championship, just for playing the through ball
