for the one who let me go

To you,
My heart I gave,
And now its pieces
I'm trying to save
On my knees at your feet
You're trying so hard not to crush them
Slowly walking on through
For me you wont admit defeat
And I watch you in adoration

The path you have chosen
Leaves me alone
But I see your furtive glances
I see your pain at my struggle
I see you long to save me
And I love you more

Fragments of me
Litter the floor
Looking out on our separate horizons
Cradled in my hands
Is my last piece of you
And I protect it

My Life
My Love
My Light
My Desire
My Beautiful Angel
I can remain in pieces
But
Of You, I will never let go

aww its very nice! when reading poems i always look for lines that set the poems tone..and for this poem i really like "fragments of me, litter the floor" totally owns

some days though she makes me so mad i just want to let go ... [we still talk way too often for that to happen because she insists she still needs me though she doesnt want to get back together]

staringelf remember in one of the other threads i mentioned people think youre always strong thats why it cant be you can ever feel depression or great hurt ? so they run to you when they are upset yet when you need support they brush you off ... ? same case scenario

new day new poem .... wrote this one when i was at a very low point ...

drank my coffee mixed with tears
felt pain wash over me from all these years
one by one each memory obliterated
every beloved moment desecrated

you walk away. this isnt fair
youre not here. im not there
my grip on my emotions fades into oblivion
im nowhere. no salvation

every thought of you a dagger of pain
you cant put yourself through this again
i cant be with you
i cant live without you

ive slammed into walls
ive crashed to the ground
no more you to break this fall
no more love to be found

tears streaming down my face
flowing towards an ocean of forgetfulness
each tear a snapshot from our life
soon to evaporate into nothingness
like us. we are no more
then what am i still on this earth for ?

i hurt you. there is no forgetting that
isnt it better to remember and forgive ?
youre still my whole life
i would die for you
but i wont live, if its without you
