It's not so much a problem of having no fish to eat, it's more a problem of ecological balance. If certain fish are extinguished the food chain can be totally ruined. The biggest problem are the single-celled organisms. Some of them can even vary a greenhouse effect more than humans do, warm up the sea waters considerably, poison millions of square-kilometers of ocean surface +++
