I have been involved in a debate regarding the Loudness War.
This is were albums are mixed/mastered by "increasing levels of loudness and reduced dynamic range."
Thus the final product suffers with a bad sound with tracks often clipping. I have decided to go back over all the tracks for "Dark City" and remaster them to a better standard in order to not become a culprit of this terrible music phenomenon.
I want the tracks to shine and not have the irritating fuzz sound over the top of the track like on badly mastered Loudness War culprits. If you would like more information on the Loudness War please check out Wikipedia by following this Link -

All the songs are thus being remastered. Over the past 2 weeks i've mixed them and now a friend is remastering them. I'm looking forward to hearing the finished product!
I've also sent one of the tracks (Crystalline) away to be professionally reviewed. I'm excited to see what they say.
