I've seen "Whale Rider", and was very impressed. At first glance it seemed like a kid movie, but it's really not... it's an overall feel good story for everyone. And the amazing thing about Keisha Castle-Hughes is that she's not a proffesional actress and this is her first movie... and she's nominated for it. For that reason, I don't think she should win. I haven't seen the other movies so I don't know how she measures up against the competition, but being nominated for an Oscar at her age for her first movie... she's kinda a winner already.
