Exclamation :[Scientific Corner]: Interesting Scientific News, Facts, Discoveries and Projects.

I really love science. And I mean: LOVE science.

I am addicted to science, if you will. Especially biology. When I see new discoveries in biology in the head-lines, my heart starts to beat faster, I have butterflies in my stomach, oh, and the warm, fuzzy feeling inside...

Anywho, I decided to start this :[Science Corner]: where we can all share those interesting facts and news from the world of science.

Here is something interesting to start us off.

If someone told you that they had Charcot-Marie-Tooth, would you recommend them a dentist?

Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) is not a dental problem.
The name may sound funny, yet the disease is anything but.
It's No. 1 inherited neuromuscular disease in America.

CMT is a disabling condition that comes with a warning. It can impair the ability to walk, impede the normal use of one's hands, and even result in the loss of sensation in both hands and feet. Although very few people have heard of it, CMT is the most commonly inherited neuropathy in the US, affecting more then 250,000 Americans.

Interesting? I have more. I shall post something interesting here everyday. So, check back! And you are more then welcome to post something interesting, too. Just don't post extremely long articles that will bore us out of our socks. Summarise them, post a few quotes.

Comments are welcome.

Have fun,
Kate
