Iceland to resume whale hunting
Iceland to resume whale hunting
It's sad to see a European country going back to such a barbaric practice (not not mention violating an international ban). Fishing is the main reason why Iceland never joined the EU, it would have to comply with EU regulations which among other things prohibit hunting of cetaceans. |
I don't understand why they're doing this. It's unjustifiably cruel and barbaric and there's just no need for it  It makes me so angry and sad to see things like this happening :(

Meh, let them do it.
But it's of course a pity that they choose to go after an endangered species of whale tho... :/ |
It's sad for me to even think about this. I rather just block it out of my mind as just one of those things. If anything I'd put a complete commercial EU embargo on that country until they come to their senses.

It's done, Iceland is killing whales again, simply appalling. :none:
People are starting to cancel their trips to Iceland which is probably the smartest thing to do as it will hurt its tourism industry. |

But as I _also_ said; I don't like them going after endangered species, cause I that's just wrong either way. So all in all I think they can probably do it as long as they don't hunt on the endangered ones - however I get the image that's exactly what they are doing..? So that makes me wonder why Iceland decided to do this. 'cause most of the world is pretty anti whale hunting in general, so I can't see the big commercial gain in it ... and in the end they'll fuck themselves. That's why I sounded carelessly. |
