Joining fanoff and after listening to all the songs (except for the new French entry, sorry but the first one was way to terrible to give any points to France this year :D ), here are my favourites this year:

1 pt to Norway (if Serbia & Montenegro took part, I would give them one point)
2 pts to the United Kingdom (simply a nice idea, won't be forgotten)
3 pts to Russia
4 pts to Belarus
5 pts to Slovenia
6 pts to Finland
7 pts to Denmark
8 pts to Bosnia & Herzegovina
10 pts to Belgium
12 pts to Romania

spyretto 30-03-2006 07:59

I can't see a song that has really impressed me in this year's Eurovision, perhaps Norway might be a favourite if the support of that song continues and they can perform it well. i haven't heard the French song either, tho, so maybe a surpise there?

These are my choices:

Germany
Switzerland
Estonia
Norway
Turkey
Bosnia/Herzegovina
Belgium
Russia
Ireland
Croatia

No points but if I were to pick favourite I'd probably say Bosnia or Belgium.
It'd be easier if we were to vote for the worst song in Eurovision...that'd be Iceland -12 :p
Though there's also competition from Lithuania ( losers of Eurovision ) the UK and Monaco ( among others ;) )

thanks, I only saw few videos....
someone on that site said this about the Bulgarian performance: "Comments: Like you say a very nice and beautifull song - i get almost moved to tears, when i listen to it and also watching the video. She performs very well... And Azis is ... a special but nice part of song...
But I do not understand the fact that it is in the very buttom of every chart/poll...
I think it will surprise.... "

wonder why that is LoL

I like Romania ... and the guy that performs has something about him, i find him very charming. I can see that song all over european radio stations this summer...

Hrvatska - oh my! I thought you were trying to excape this image, and here you are with the MOST Balkan performance! Chalga to the fullest! and the girl that performs is nice. Opa ... aide.....aideeeeee.... top 3 at least I hope!

Ive also seen Greece, Ukraine, Portugal, and Russia ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz to all of them

It's in May. Beginning with May 18th. Yep, UK came up with something special. It would either score or fall.

spyretto 12-04-2006 22:46

yeah, "special" indeed, a "School's Out" for the 00 generation.
I personally think that this time around all songs range from crappy to mediocre - but then again it's just me. There's no Moldova of 2005 ( Zdob Si Zdub ) no Cyprus of 2004 ( Lisa Andreas) no Russia of 2003 ( guess who ;) ) no Greece of 2001 ( Antique ) no Latvia of 2000 ( Brainstorm ). It's very much like 2002 in that regard, where I didn't feel much about any of the songs and the best "strip show" won. Something similar might be enough to win it again this time, I think.

fanoff 20-04-2006 17:57

i saw some pics of tatu in eurovision that ive never seen, then watched anatomia again, then said if they did win, everything would be better for them now, they lost their popularity in russia and here(Turkey)

fanoff 05-05-2006 16:34

Instead of the usual "fall"?

We West-European countries should just stop trying and stop embarrassing ourselves.. It's the Eastern section that has taken over Eurovision - they only vote for eachother :bebebe:

dradeel 06-05-2006 13:27

Lordi and Finland for the win! :D

fanoff 09-05-2006 15:19

The West might regain control this year, since all the acts are rubbish anyway and the Eastern bloc doesn't seem to have found the combination of passable-song-hot chick-good show that dominated the previous 4 years...at least I haven't seen anything to have caught my attention.

Get a life will ya.. This is becoming really sad, you are really sad

spyretto 09-05-2006 20:06

I think I know the reason why the Westerners can't win ESC anymore: their acts suck.

Though Carola might be the one to bring it back to the West. It's very catchy, extremely corny and written with only one thing in mind: Eurovision

Most people on the forums are already routing for songs like Ireland's, Finland's, the UK's, Sweden's etc. So it's definitely going back to the west ( and maybe the north-west )
Only song from the east that stands a chance is Romania's.
