I fear there is no online link for the show, you need satellite, cable (if provided) or pay iptv (like me).

As for the favourites. I've not listened to even one of the final participants, so I'll let them surprise me, but if I look on the list of the jurymen I can't avoid the feeling that the decision is already made. Among the 11 members there is Yurij Aksyuta, the musical director of Channel One, Larisa Sinel'schikova, the 'owner' of all 'Star Factory' participants (and by the way wife of the boss of Channel One, how convenient! :D) and there are four of the five producers of the 'Star Factory' competitions, Krutoj, Matvienko, Meladze, Fadeev. Channel One has supported the group 'Kvatro' ("Five Stars" competition) and Aleksej Vorob'ev for some time now, but there is a 'Fabrikant' too in the race, Anastasiya Prihod'ko (hot favourite!!! God, she has such a great basso voice! :gigi:). I'd be surprised if the winner won't be one of those acts.

I use Yandex (the Russian way to google) to look for articles, that's all. By the way I just saw that Meladze resigned as member of the jury, which makes Prihod'ko (chicken of his coop) even more a favourite.

This year the entries seem to be much better than last year. I won't need to use beans in my ears! :D

Channel One and RTR alternate with each other. This year is Channel One's turn, but it makes no difference. One mafia replaces the other.

You'll see artists with which the channel can make big money...and this may bring even Anna Semenovich with her huge tits in the race! *slobber*

that may be the reason why sergey lazarev said that eurovision wasnt fair last year. I kinda get it!(I thought he was bitter cause he lost after all ) he mentioned Valerie.

Don't laugh at my expertise. You don't know how close it was...

Well, the Russian tele votes:

1. Anastasiya Prihod'ko - Mamo 25 %
2. Valeriya - Back To Love 14 %
3. "Kvatro" - Lyubov'yu otvechaj 12 %

4. Aleksej Vorob'ev 10 %
5. Anna Semenovich 8 % of the votes.

The expert jury chose then from the first three:

Anastasiya Prihod'ko

it`s a good song, and in Russian!!, how come! they didnt go with a song in english as the previous sucessful years, cause it seems that mamo will be the one!, but too slow for my taste, I like the ending when she`s down on the floor the most powerful part of the entire performance :p

2. Valeriya - Back To Love 14 %

not bad, she has a good voice, though

I think nobody actually cared about this one cause there is not link yet, It`s understandable though

the sound of the music is ok, kind of arabic, but she ruins it when start to sing, and Your right she has huge tits! :p

Well, Anna has many many talents. Singing is not one of them. :p

Nasty Prihod'ko's story of the ESC is a bit strange. She was in the Ukrainian competition, but has been disqualified under mysterious circumstances. She sued the Ukrainian organizers of the contest and it seemed that the Ukraine got in real troubles. At the very last moment, about three days before the Russian contest began, she has been nominated for the final.

Prihod'ko seemed not to be in best form, no wonder with these turbulances. Now the team has two months to make a personality out of this very introverted talent.

About my 'sarcasm'. Not at all - the tele-voting had to determine three nominees from which the jury should choose the winner. With this winning margin in the votings it wouldn't have been easy to designate another winner. Nevertheless, it all looks a bit fishy. Hey, excluding Valeriya, I 'guessed' all the top scoring acts, without hearing even one song. It was sooo predictable...

I read that she is half ucranian also, so is that fair after all?, she´s not even 100% russian to represent them in their own country as host of the whole contest, I thought they would send the most famous face nowadays, without care about the money channel 1 could gain.

I didn't know that Ukrainians are so much better that the competition becomes unfair! ...although...*thinks*...yes, Ukrainians do it better! :D

There was only one act with international ambitions, Valeriya, an independent artist (= no money for the channels, labels etc.). All the others need the competition to get better known in Russia. Channel One supports artists who have perspective in the future. There is no more pressure to take the win in ESC, so they can look for a financially promising act.

.

I was refering that she was for Ukraine first, and seems that russia was a second option, there is not a policy in this constest that says that the singer/band in eurovision must be born in the country they represent  so it´s ok that if one country dumb you, you can go to the other next to yours :p
and seems that people are not that happy at least that guy is spamming the whole place haha!

Many people were shocked that she sang partly in Ukrainian - d-i-s-g-u-s-t-i-n-g! No matter how much some people protest, it was the best song, and the considerable lead in the tele-votings showed it clearly. Good luck for her!
