Hurra Torpedo - All the Things (S)he Said cover

Hurra Torpedo is a "hvitevare-rock" band from Norway, playing cover songs on ... well ... electrical appliances. Hvitevare is the norwegian word for electrical appliance

Hurra Torpedo - All the Things (S)he Said cover

It's an hilarious song, and I thought most people here would find it interesting. Download and listen!!

... I guess it's worth to mention their cover of Britney Spear's Toxic? Here it is.

(if there is already a suitable thread for these kinds of post I'm sorry for making a new one. So yeah, please correct my errors, o' might admins! )

Hmm.. They did have a US tour not too long ago. In the last concert at the tour they headlined a bluegrass-country-festival in Nashville or something. Hahahaha. The crowd had no idea what they were up to, but playing old famous songs in an alternative way woke 'em up.

It's not like the songs are "good". They're simply trashing electrical appliances.. But it's still very creative and cool, and you're looking at norway's best rockers (and some of world's best rockers too I might add).

Anyways, it's just ... cool and funny. Hehehe. Probably perfect while drunk and hearing them live!

It's... different. It's really bad, yet for some reason I sort of like it It's a cool idea, but I don't think it really works.

This song is totally AWESOME
But it's more awesome in that funny kind of way... I wish there were some actually good covers of Tatu songs, that Japanese one was pretty okay but I wish there were more.

Their cover of Total Eclipse of the Heart is legendary here in Norway after it was played on TV several years ago (which is the clip I've linked to)... actually, the whole band is this kinda cult live band. People who love the bands of Duplex studios (like me) automatically love this band as well; for its creativeness and unique stage show... and instruments...

I can understand you people who think it sounds horrible, cause there are limits on how melodic you can get with a band put together by kitchen appliances - except the one guy on guitar playing the basic melody of the songs they're covering. Hehe. But just think if you were drunk and you were at a concert with them... That's when Hurra Torpedo is at its best I wouldn't sit down and listen to their album on a normal day that is.

Excactly! It's just ... awesomly funny. Hehehe. Which make the band good imo.
