Fortunately, that headache enlightened her future for her, she had a dream in whcih she found happiness at the highest of all peaks, and so she decided to climb the Everest. (Actually, in her dream she had an orgasm, but oh well... a lot of people misinterprete their dreams!)

Fortunately (for NASA), NASA they were looking for suicidal people to send to Mars, and Karen was perfect for the job. Plus, Mars has mountains way higher then Everest, so Karen agreed to be the first woman to fly to Mars.
