They had an interview with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber right now and he liked Estonia, Sweden and Azaerbaijan. He was a bit deluded thinking that the UK will compete for 1st price though

i'm seriously impressed with all the animations going on here. Between the amazingly done interstitials and now these crazy voting system thing... it's all been very cool.

i won't comment on the songs haha...

The Ukraine kitsch is going down the drain, the jury must have not been amused by it

I missed this "indirect appearance by Tatu"

I actually liked Eurovision this year *gasp* (I know), it wasn't so cheesy - it was actually... dare I say it?... a little bit interesting to watch.

Having said that, why is everyone voting for Norway? Pfft.

Better songs this year, it was because the garbage was all voted out in the semis, probably the jury had something to do with it. Though I didn't see a real standout in terms of performances. Iceland had very strong vocals, the song didn't quite do it for me but my friends liked it.

Songs are always pathetic and are forgotten after the end of the show. ( unless you go back at least 30 years ).
But it was a good show and the scale of it was enormous this time.

i recently read an article that stated that the youth of the world are soon going to start showing their colors. I see this as a victory for young people. A song won that was written singlehandedly by someone under the age of 25. Way to go. Ya'll may not think it was the best song or whatever but it just goes to show you don't need an award winning song writing team to win (sorry UK).

It was definitely a good show and i think Russia did a good job showing aspects of their culture and breaking down stereotypes about them and showing just how professional they can be. Plus this was awesome:
