Massachusetts Supreme COurt Ruling!!

Finally, the Massachusetts Supreme Court has reached a ruling on Same-Sex marriages! And the Verdict is....

In favor of same-sex marriage!!

I'd just like to take a moment and say, "It's about fricken time!" There was supposed to be a ruling back in March. But it was well worth the wait.

Although the supreme court has declared that it is unconstitutional to prohibit same-sex marriage, the battle is far from over. Now it goes to the house and senate, were they will debate over how the laws will be changed. It's there job to decide whether the state will allow Civil Unions or Marriage. And it will take at least 180 days (6 months) before anyone in the state will reep the benifits. So a historic day yes, but the battle is far from over.

With the neo-conservatism going in the States it is really refreshing to hear this.

If my opinion matters, which it probably doesn't, I feel that Massachusetts should recognize legal unions (whether straight or gay) than marriages.
