I did! I just watched the three movies in a row and i'm a bit overwhelmed right now, lol! That was great! And yeah, the original voices are so much better, the voice is a whole with the acting, dubbed voices ruin a part of the acting, that's terrible.
(Unfortunately, in a country as big as France, all movies are released dubbed in theaters, and that annoys me to no end!)

Personally it's the opposite. I've always found weird that the emperor in Episode 5 was played by a different actor than in Episode 6, and it became even weirder when the actor from Episode 6 (Ian McDiarmid) retook his role for Episodes 1, 2, and 3.
I mean, having McDiarmid playing Palpatine/the emperor in Episodes 1, 2, 3, and 6, but a different actor for only Episode 5 looked really weird. I'm really glad the guy from Episode 5 was replaced by McDiarmid as well, now we have the same actor in all episodes and it flows better (in my opinion).

Hayden Chistensen appearing as a ghost at the end of Episode 6 was another matter though, it didn't bother at all, but it'll take some getting used to.

The new musical act in Jabba's palace cracked me up, in a good way.

i was never bothered by that, the slight difference is episode 5 and 6. I just didn't like the WAY they changed it, they should have hightened the contrast on him to make it look more like it did before. I'll get used to it eventually...

But i'm glad you liked the voice actors on the English side, although the voice of Boba Fett is different (i dunno why, but it most surely is)...

I'm going to try and watch them all today whilst i work on my graphic design project, and see if the changes are better the 2nd time around (When they won't be as big of a shock) ...

haha. but no matter what is changed, they are still wonderful movies

If anyone is interested, one of George Lucas' friends run a web site about Star Wars, you can find a lot of exclusive informations there.

You can read the summay script of Episode III - Revenge of the Sith for example, don't read it if you don't like spoilers! Lol

A list of the changes in the DVD release of Episodes IV-V-VI.

There's also a page with pictures of Princess Leia in golden bikini.

I like this picture of Princess Leia and Darth Vader, though it's a bit disturbing considering she's his daughter.

*SPOILER ALERT*

Aaaaaaaahh, I cannot believe that Anakin's actions will kill Padme. This is so upsetting. But at least she'll give birth to twins.

Thanks for the info, haku. Can't wait to see the third ep. It'll be in cinemas in May 2005.

ooo, interesting read, thanks haku

I had read about the anakan/padme thing before, so i'm not too shocked, but it's interesting to contrast that plot with the preview on the Bonus Disc in the star wars dvd set....

Sorry about that, it's been a long time since i had made that kind of grammar mistake, lol. It's typical of people like me who have a Latinate language as their mother tongue, you see, in Latinate languages, the possessive pronouns are in agreement with the *object*, not the *subject* like in English and other Germanic languages.

The teaser trailer for episode III is out

and the official teaser poster seems to have been released

The trailer is of course just a teaser so it doesn't show much. Looks cool though from the few clips it does include.
The teaser poster I don't like. In some of the comments some user says that it looks better as a real poster instead of a screen print.. I truely hope that person is right. And then again it's just the teaser poster so the official one might be way better.

Star Wars is interesting; I'm not a huge fanatic, but I very much like George Lucas, he is a very elegant writer and an inspiration to me. The man is a genius.

As for the movies, there is no doubt that Episode IV: A New Hope is the best, by far. I tend to go with originals over sequels, but this one had many more reasons than that.

I'd like to make a comparison between new Star Wars and nu metal. Just as metal became so lame that nu metal had to be born, so was the old Star Wars trilogy so ars.......lets say loved instead, that Lucas - while on the verge of his nervous tic that consists of pulling the hairs of his head - came up with the fantastic moneymaking idea of putting the final coffin in the old S.W by intoducing the nu S.W.! and how more ingenious, the nu S.W. would chronologically precede the old S.W.!
Amazing: by that the fans would suck into the new -yet "old" - "masterpiece" and forget all about the old sour stuff...who cares about that now.
I gotta give it to George: he knows how to mess with our minds so much that whatever he does sounds kewl even if it's not..kewl & gr8 then

English with French subtitles, that's also how i saw Episode I and II when they were released.
Much better than the old trilogy that i had only seen dubbed in French until the DVD release.

Meh. Wooden acting, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much CGI, too much time spent on how to tie story with Ep IV, assault on Wookie planet is badly done (compare this with battle on Hoth in Ep V). And WTF was that animal Kenobi rode about?
