Reason is easy to understand. If fans hear nothing for more than a few weeks they start complaining, then they panic and spread rumours that project has run out of money and that project if finished. Just look what happened in November on tatu-ru forums!

Management know this and have learned that it is better to put Lena in front of a camera every month to show fans she is still alive (and that Boris does not keep her locked up in windowless room )- even if they have nothing relevant to say.

Right, easy to understand but an unfortunate reality. I'd rather hear nothing for an entire year and be given quality material than to hear her random babble about everything but music. This project has already run out of ideas, so money isn't really an issue I'm concerned with. T.A. Music is the absolute worst fucking thing to ever happen to anyone associated with music. Rensky or anyone else posting as Insider can say 100 shitty things about fans and call us invalidy or whatever they wish to over and over again. It still doesn't change the fact that the Lena Katina project sucks, yes sucks because of the same people who drove t.A.T.u. into the ground. I do not understand what type of artist or production company spends two years in LA and has no album and no significant following to show for it. It's 2010, they don't even need to be in LA. It's not like the Iron Curtain is still up and they're mixing her album on Windows 98 computers. Go back to Moscow where some people still care, and accomplish something. But no - T.A. Music would rather blog and bitch about fans than accept their lack of competence (which is evident, it is not a question) and accomplish something. Lena's music is boring and so is her lack luster dull personality she seems intent on keeping. Nobody wants to watch you talk about going to see Depeche Mode, nobody cares about you hiking, and nobody wants to see pictures of you fighting tree roots. I mean really? What the fuck. We've all been more than patient. Lena would have been better off finishing her psychology program than she is being the last shred of hope for these fucking idiots turned record executives who after FOUR years still haven't managed to do a single thing other than independently release one mediocre album.

The song sounds pretty nice and I'm glad we finally have a studio clip of something, but I'm not too impressed with the vocals.
And the new picture is kind of cool, even though I don't exactly know what it's supposed to be.

It's like... I don't know. Was she just having phone romance? Is that why the phone looks like it was thrown to the floor, and she is barely wearing anything on her bed? And I guess her band member was spying on the whole thing? I don't get it.

I do like the preview but I don't see it hitting any charts, maybe some meaningless tv and web charts. I just need to learn it.

Not so bad, but the chorus is sort of stringy, like shoe sole leather.

VU sounded very synthetic and forced in many places. The Stay preview sounds a hell of a lot more organic - like a band has actually worked on it. It makes VU sound fuddy duddy and so out of date. I like her vocals too. It has a neat dark undertone to it which has me charmed.

VU is the most underproduced album by t.A.T.u. in terms of mixing and mastering. Nothing about it sounded synthetic in that respect.


Other than that, Stay is a decent song as far as that clip tells, and the vocals aren't bad - but where is the feeling? The song is called "Stay" and the lyrics are about heartbreak but Lena sounds like she's waiting for the bus instead of being depressed. Release a clip of IRS or World, or mostly So Not Cool (which is probably her best) they're the best things I've heard so far.
