I saw Better Than Chocolate and it's actually a very, very good movie! Quite frankly, I didn't think I'd like it, but once I started watching, I was hooked. It's got love, humour, deals with those specific gay issues such as coming out, intolerance, but it's also about friendship and freedom and it's just a nice movie! Definitely worth watching if you got the chance. The actors are great too and the movie it's beautifully written and directed, so I give it a firm

agreed Watched it a month ago or so, when it aired at 3am at a danish channel. Glad I had a vcr ready for sure.. hehe

War Of The Worlds: Really entertaining and worth seeing. It's not something extraordinary since most of the special effects and the storyline has been seen before (can't remember the first two movies, but references to lots of other movies), but still it made me forget about my soda for sure.. hehe. Most annoying thing about it is Dekota Fannings character though. Constantly screaming or saying stuff I never heard a girl her age saying..

Sin City: WOW going to get the dvd for this one for sure. Sure it's violent, but that's not a bad thing though. I better go rate it 10/10 at imdb.. hehe

Veg, Gia's a good movie for sure. Depressive indeed. But good

T., glad you saw BTC. I loved Judy, the transsexual haha. At the end when those skinheads call her a dyke and she's like "thank you" - classic stuff.
I also wanted to see War of the Worlds and will see it eventually.
Just now I'm downloading Sin City (heard many good things about it and since you said it was good too, then I'm downloading it) and I also have Dogville that needs to be watched. So when I have time, I will watch them both and come back with opinions

reminds me that I thought of watching Manderlay, but realised it meant having to watch Dogville aswell.. which made the chance of it happining slimmer.. hehe. I'm no good at Von Trier movies
Bryce Dallas Howard is kinda cute though.. or at least had potential in The Village *dilemma*

No it doesn't!
In fact it needs to be avoided at all cost, like all of Lars Von Sh!thead's movies. Unless you can stomach some of the most misogynistic films ever made in the history of cinema.

God I hate that man!

Even if you can take all that (if so, damn you have some guts!) the movie itself is utter sh!t. I get what he was trying to with the production "value" ( ) but it just distracted me from realizing what a crappy story it was to begin with.

With that in mind;
Don't do it Killa and teeny, you have your whole lives ahead of you!

There should have been signs of weakness along the way. It seemed like they just wanted to end the story since the main story was finished at the time "how do we end this the fastest way? oh I know.." - end of story.
Felt like one of those suspense movies where one is to guess the murderer and it's someone who was just on screen briefly doing some point of the movie and didn't say anything while there, or better yet - not in it at all until the big final

first and foremost, PowerPuff!!! what's up, girl?? havent seen you in a thread in ages. i miss our arguments! awww... the good ol' days *huggles you*
i havent seen Dogville yet, but it's still in my PC. will give it a shot though and if i dont like it i'll just turn it off and delete it, promise

i have seen however War of the Worlds and i thought it was lousy. no suspense, no nada. boooooooring. and Tom Cruise? well, it wasn't worth watching not even for him. too much publicity for nothing. i havent read the book, but i bet that one's better than the movie by far. H.G. Wells must be turning in his grave.

and oh yes, i have seen Mean girls and that was even crappier. more of the same American teenage movies if you will.

*thumbs down for both movies*

killaqueen dont miss out dogville, its a movie u must see, even if u dont like it afterwards i dont think ull regret watching it. to me it was great and had that catharsis effect that was so strong at the end like in greek tragedies and i loved how he showed human nature. dogville is i think the first part of von triers american triology. im gonna watch second part on film festival this summer

But wait, did I hear that right? You miss our arguments?
Well, I guess I'm glad that one of us enjoyed them, 'cause it sure did exhaust the hell of me.

The publicity wasn't for the movie, it was for his new found relationship; *jumps on the couch and screams:* he's in wuv people!
(There is no emoticon that can express the way I feel about this, but I think this will do. )

That movie was the second movie I have ever walked out on in the theatre. The first was also a Tom Cruise film, Eyes Wide Shut. This should tell me never to see any of his films ever again, if the recent news coming from him didn't already.

Nice to hear from you Killa, make sure to tell us what you think of Dogville, k?

PS: Awwww, I loved Mean Girls! That movie had me quoting it for months; "Oh boo, you whore!"
Love it!
