Yulya's understanding of English is quite good, at least good enough for working in the biz. Her speaking was so far not the best, that may have changed. We don't know much of her current skills, except Tim of course. He knows it exactly.

That clip just made me realize how grown up her voice has become. I aw'd at her brief attempt at trying to imitate Prostie Dvizhenia.

If I had over the course of the past few years spent several month long stays in a country where the language was different from my own - I'd know how to do more than toss out nouns and use sign language to finish my sentences. It doesn't bother me personally. But to hear her talking about moving to the USA and starting a career. Now that's funny.

On the radio yesterday her english sounded better than I expected. Nowhere near as good as Lena's of course, but better than when I last heard. And I appreciated her giving us that small clip of the english version of pd: "A simple motion over and over..." Just wish they had released the full thing.

She said she has recorded 3 songs and is starting her website soon. Now we play the waiting game.

By the way, there is a mentally retarded hulk from my country who managed to become Governor of California, and he can't speak English although he lives in the US for decades! Seems that you don't need to know the language, if you want to become big in that country. Obviously the more ape the more you become famous there.
