Could this be for real? How could this guy be in politics? He has no previous political experiances whatsoever - (except in bed, since he married a Kennedy

). What would he do actualy? I didn't even know austrians can run for american governors (eventhough he has american citizeship). Does this mean he can be elected president as well?

Reagan was an actor as well wasn't he?

I'll have nightmares tonight of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger both running for president in about 10 years time.

Anyhoo, 'Ahnuld' always expressed an interest in politics, so I'm not really surprised. There is no way he can run for president, even if he wanted to, I think one of the requirements to run is that you have to be born in the States.

And if a former WWE wrestler can run AND win, I'm sure 'Ahnuld' can too. Jerry Springer was also considering re-entering politics. Anybody know what's happening with him?

PS: Celebrities and politics; I personally don't think it is a bad amalgamation.

I think Arnold is an extremely intelligent guy, and could do a pretty decent job IMO as their new Governor. As someone said already, i dont think he is anykind of newbie to politics or else he would not be considering the job.

He's gonna win because of his popularity as an actor and his movies.

But let me tell you this: he donated MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to the George W. Bush campaign. He's a republican, he loves Bush... what an asshole! I mean, everybody knows that he never would have gotten anything if it wasn't for his "Mr. Muscle" title ... LOL

Just because somebody's a Republican doesn't mean that sombody is evil. Being Democratic doesn't make a good person.

Some news is coming in now, he just hired Warren Buffett as his financial advisor. Buffett is the second richest man in the world and is the Lord of Investment Banking, he is also a Democrat and is pretty vocal when opposing Bush's policy. Ahnuld's policy is becoming disclosed, turns out it is more Democratic than Republican. He's aiming for a Federal funded education system, he's pro-gay rights, etc. Republicans, like Pat O'Riley (sp?) and Pat Robertson hate his guts, so that obviously means Ahnuld is in the right direction.

So far Ahnuld has a ten percent lead on all of his opponents and quite frankly, I want him to win this.
