Vic3k, Black Eagle will most likely never see production. Prototype was shown several years ago and there still aren't any pictures with it's turret not covered.

The M1A1 Abram tanks are the most advanced tank in the world and from what i know on russan tecnology does not meet the U.S. armor the U.S. also has the M1A2 and in testing the M1A3 so i dont know what tank the russan 1 is suppose to match but U.K. has the only other decently equivalant tank in the world

Tanks comparable with Abrams? Let's see.... French Leclerc, German Leopard 2A6 (even A5 is very good-Abrams uses German gun, same one as on A5, A6 has longer gun) and Merkava 4. From what is known Chinese Type 98 (specially G version with added armor on turret, similar to Leo 2 A5) is comparable to early M1, altough it could be better.

Ask tank enthusiasts and half will say Leo 2 is best, the other half will choose Merk.
