Indeed it would. Actually, if somebody promised me that if I were to become vegetarian, the cruel slaughtering of animals for food would stop, then I would happily do so. However, in this day and age, to go vegetarian to stop animal cruelty is fruitless (seeing as there would still be a huge market for it), especially with all the money-starved corporate scum floating around.

Indeed. I've been thinking about going vegetarian for awhile anyways....vegetarian chef's are really interesting. they can make vegetables taste so good, its weird. and much more healthy for you.

I don't get the deal about vegetarians... I wanted to be one for a long time, but I started thinking differently. I mean, I'm all against animal cruelty, but aren't humans meat-eaters by nature?

Nope, we're not .

We've got both canine's and incisors (Meat eater teath), but we've also got molars (plant teeth).

And honeslty - plants are better for us.

They're there for a reason, no?

From what I understand, the healthiest "diet" is to eat little or no red meat, and to "replace" that with fish and for example chicken.

Edit: Yay wikipedia!

Humans can consume both plant and animal products. However, it is heavily debated whether humans are actually herbivorous, carnivorous, or omnivorous. Some people claim that humans share numerous physical traits with herbivorous species, while others claim humans are much more similar to carnivores. At the same time the human digestive system is not completely adapted to plant matter or meat, leading many to classify humans as omnivorous.

Human teeth arent as large as real carnivorous animals.
I heard somewhere that stomach acid isnt very good with
digesting meat. Some people get constipated..

And some people cannot digest vegetables, it's all your bodies choosing .

However - I think clasification of Omnivore is best.

That's a really interesting question. This article/slideshow discusses that ever issue, apparently it has been common practice for years to make the public aware of potential extinctions of cuter, fuzzier animals at the expense of ugly ones.

Sad, but goddamn that is one ugly creature!

I can understand it being so ugly that it's cute. That it doesn't change the fact that it's still ugly, IMHO.
That animal looks like it has been living off crack all these years.
