there is russian, french.. time for some Balkanika!

this genre of music has different names in the different countries, but its all the same - some call it Pop-Folk or Chalga (bulgarians), some call it Turbo Folk (serbia).. god knows what all the thers call it.. but it is all Balkanika!

lets start with some classic cross boundry songs - since i am Bulgarian, bulgarians doing duets with other Balkaniers....

we had a band from Bulgaria come up to Lublin and play some stuff and i must say... that night turned into one of the best nights i've ever had in my life... ergo: balkan music rocks.

it's was by far the coolest night of my life, after the concert there was an afterparty in this club and we all got smashed, they played bulgarian dance music and then band encored live with traditional dancing and then i met the band and got an accordian lesson, haha, got even more smashed... didn't get home til 8 am... amazing, i think i have the card of the band... i was supposed to email them about something, i don't remember why... haha
