Not For Me

i see what you say
displayed across the screen
but it's not for me
it's for mass consumption
for the world to see
no name, no disclaimer,
simple in it's vagueness
sinister in its possibilities
feeble hope invades my heart
where it shouldn't be
when it comes to you

because when it comes to you
i've got nothing
phantoms and shadows
promises never made - only imagined
i want to know once and for all
but it's a question you'll never ask
and a secret i'll never share.

so this is sort of a companion to my other post (currently Untitled). this was actually written before the other, but both on the same day, so they follow the same emotions (thus the same color font, savvy? lol) alright, no more rambling from me. you know the drill. love it, hate it - comment!

thanks Parrish! i'm not really all that happy that i feel this way either but the more i think about it the more it seems that i'm doing this to myself. that i'm reading too far into it, like i need something to mentally torture myself over...seems odd i know, but i can't help feeling that it might be some sort of psychological thing with me. like i have to have some sort of angst or "problem" to be struggling with....
