ActiveX Problem

Maybe someone can help me with this.. When I try to run 3D scripts and stuff like that (for animation) I get an error saying my security settings do not allow ActiveX controls. So I thought it was because I had them on "High" and I turned them down to "Low" and it didn't work. I restarted, and it still didn't work..

Can anyone help and tell me what's going on?

This is what it says exactly:

"Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly."

None of those things worked... The first link was to help out IE 4 and 5, and I have IE 6.. So I really don't know..

Mon...are u using Windows XP Home?

*geek talk begins*
Apparently a lot of other people are having the same problem with XP home and ActiveX controls.

Some people were able to fix it...but u might have to try diff things :

1) Go to Tools\internet options\security\custom level.......The first 5 opt5ions are ActiveX controls

You should set these to :-

enable
disable
disable
enable
enable

Scroll down to the bottom and under "scripting" you should enable "active scripting"

Also go to Tools\internet options\advanced and make sure

enable install on demand (internet explorer)
enable install on demand (other)

are both unticked.

2) Check out this link :-

http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;813444

3) You can also get this message if you have disabled the Java permissions.

I have Win 2000 and IE 6

I fixed the problem by going to Tools--> Internet Options--> Security--> Internet--> Custom Level

Scroll down to Java Permissions - see if it is Disabled
Mine was, and I changed it to Low Safety

now the page in question doesn't give me the "Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on the page. As a result, the page may not display correctly"
message.

Hope any/all of these works for u
