I remember about one year ago I had a virus on my pc that really deleted everything in a few mintes. And at that point of time I didn't have any backups - the whole stuff for college and work was gone in an instant, it took me weeks to write all the essays again.
Thinking back I really was willing and able to kill the person who created that crap - I understand it's interesting to do such stuff when you got the abilities but at some point there should be something like a feeling for responsibility. Besides I would have loved to sue that person.

Thank God Darje, you saved my night`s sleep! I got that Bonsai Kitten thing, about year ago or so, my friend emailed it to me and I didn`t doubt it. I love cats so I was really upset and I had even nightmares, and this B K thing keeps/kept popping up to my mind every now and then. Now I can get rid off it. Pfhhhh... How cruel can a human being be, making that kind of pranks.
About viruses, I have Norton too. My hard disc said good bye to me about 3 or 4 weeks ago, it just stopped working. I don`t know what was the reason, maybe there was a virus, but I had to buy a new disk. And of course I didn`t have backup copies so all my Tatu stuff was also gone. Well, I learned something about that.

What about prank emails?

Anyone ever got one with a link saying something like 'Hot Teenage Sluts' and when you click on it, you get a picture of a female corpse on an autopsy table cut into several pieces...

Neh, I never open mails like that...

I remember those Bonsai Cats... At first I got a little bit upset, but since there is already SO much animal abuse in the world, I wasn't very surprised. Then I found out it was all a joke, and all they did was "push" the cats against a glass-thing so that it look like they were actually in a bottle.

Then there was the talking dog. Apparently the dog could talk like a deaf person... But was it really just a joke? I saw it on Ripley's Believe it or Not, so yeah...

I heard that the new virus gives you a message that says "--- , my son. Why do you make this possible Bill Gates? Fix your software."

In case it does pop up, don't ignore it! It basically restarts your computer and starts it up without the antivirus working. Shut down your computer while it counts down to :00 and don't start it up again in a while.
OMG - I've got that exact virus!! It hit me last night and I've still got it!
I did what you said darje - I shut down my comp before it got a chance to and I left it off all day today but now I'm still getting that message. How can I get rid of it?

first of all you should disable msblast.exe from starting at boot...then you should download the two patches (assuming your norton av is updated daily (live update and stuff)). download the microsoft patch and install it and download the norton patch, the one for MANUAL installation (called 20030812-006-i32) and install it... restart your machine and scan your computer and you should have no more problems...

Tonight, this fudging virus took over this computer too. I believe my father has solved it. I am not sure. I really don't understand these things. A terrible nuisance, nonetheless.

A pox on the runtish blackguard who created it.

LOL, you're right, i know the type.
Those people have no other goal than simply destroy. Their viruses are poorly written and easily eliminated by antivirus software, but during their short lifespan, they are very destructive.

This thread could use some cheering up, and since we can post weird things from the internet, here's the dildo song.

So, there's a dildo song huh? Well, once I found a site pro-masturbation: Masturbate for Peace site...

There's a song too: "I Cum In Peace". Lyrics here.
