Judas were the only one to understand who this god was. It raised a debate whether it's a "new" or earlier misunderstood god, or the jewish god, Jahveh... The story also said that Judas had been given the key role of the betrayal against Jesus by Jesus himself. Jesus had told Judas to turn him in, so that he'd be executed. This way the prophecy would come true, and the "word" would spread around.
I can't wait to see the final translation of it all. It's very interesting, indeed!

You mean to tell me that the Jews didn't kill Jesus?
The Holocaust, the pogroms, the KKK... it was all in vain?!
DAMN YOU!!! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!!

On topic though, the execution of gays in the Middle East should come to no surprise to anybody. Especially considering how we treat homosexuals in our own societies; they still experience hate crimes.

It isn't just the homosexauls they are killing in Iran, it is anybody who's different from being a straight, Persian, fundamentalist, Shiite Muslim male. That's a whole lot of people who aren't included. Bahá'í 's, Christians, intellectuals, non-fundamentalists, Zoroastrians, journalists/bloggers, etc. are also being executed.
It is in the best interest of the government to pre-occupy its citizens with hate for one another because the second people see that there's noting wrong with being different their angry will be directed to the government. It's the politics of distraction and it's used everywhere.

Uhm... it was never mentioned that the Jews didn't kill Jesus. They did. Thing is, Jesus was - according to the bible - betrayed by Judas. Now, it could be that Jesus told him to turn him in --- meaning Judas never betrayed Jesus. And also that Jesus was one hell of a cunning bitch That's it.

Can't say it does. When girls are being stoned for having giving birth to a child outside marriage (wasn't that in some Islamic country?), then you'd almost assume that homosexuality is illegal.

My friend was forced into a marriage. She is engaged with the guy and they'll marry in a year or so. She was 16 at the time of the engagement, she's 17 now (so it was last year). I think she'll go to his country when she's 18, marry him, and bring him back to Sweden so that he can stay here, the way they all do.

Dumb shit.

stoning!!
In stoning to death, the victims's hands are tied behind their backs and their bodies are put in a cloth sack. Then, this human "package" is buried in a hole, with only the victims heads showing above the ground. If its a woman, she is buried upto her shoulders. This is to give her an seemingly equal (but nonetheless impossible) chance to escape recognizing her lesser physical strength.
After the hapless individual has been secured in the hole, people start chanting "Allah hu Akbar" (meaning, God is great), and throw palm sized stones at the head of the victim from a certain distance (a circle is drawn).
The stones are thrown until the person dies or until he/she escapes out of the hole and crosses the circle. Escaping is impossible, given that the individual's hands are tied behind their backs and they are buried in a hole upto their necks or shoulders (in the case of males and females respectively).

I dont know if any of you have seen these things over the net or TV but today I could see one of the stoning cases. You can not believe how horrible it was.The quality of the video was too low.(Thanks God).

That's basically what'll happen with my ex At least she's got time until she's like 30 before her family starts looking for a guy for her Hopefully before that time her family will realize they're ruining her life and are acting like fucking retards

I'm so sorry. For others I think it can seem really easy - "Well, if she's an adult, she can do whatever she wants!" but when it comes to religion and family it can be quite difficult. Basically you either choose your own way of living over your family... meaning that if you break away from the strictness of the religion, you will most likely be hated by your family and seen as a shame to them. Many people (especially women) get killed. But that's the extreme of course...

Ahhh that happened to another friend of mine, except I think she would probably be allowed to choose him herself. She was my age and went to my school. I'm not sure what religion it was, but her parents wouldn't let her have a boyfriend or even be friends with boys until she finished her studies. I mean, university and all that crap. I was quite surprised by how strict the rules were for her, as her parents weren't really religious at all. I guess religion wasn't so much included, more that they "cared for her future"

Yeah yeah, that's what they want you to think My ex' family isn't all that religious really.. It's more got to do with that "pride" and "shame" thing.. Basically, all they care for is themselves and how they are going to look infront of other people

I'm not quite sure which part of my post you were referring to...? I agree that it has to do about shame and pride, but religion is, yet again, used as an excuse.

It's not even only when it comes to homosexual relationships, but also if you are with someone whom your family does not agree with, simply. Different nationality, religion, whatever.
