South of Nowhere--Season 2!

Hey guys! I thought I'd start another thread for the 2nd season of SON.

Sooo...did anyone *head bob* notice anything *head bob* particular *head bob* about the show *head bob* tonight? *head bob* OY! I love Gabby and all, but the girl has got to 1) brush up a bit on her acting and 2) quit bobbing her head every single time she talks!

I was kinda disappointed that they had Spashely sleep together the night that they kissed. I was hoping they'd take it a tad slower, but after seeing everything that happened tonight, it makes sense they'd need the girls to have that deeper bond in order to get through the death of Ashley's dad. I was definitely surprised at the mixed reactions Ashley was giving Spencer, but I'm happy how they handled it.

I'm REALLY happy that Arthur threw Paula's infidelity in her face like he did, but I'm sad to see him drinking.

Glen...he's just weird anyways. lol Clay & Chelsea...they're really nice, but honestly, I can't decide if I care about them or not. I know Clay will be important when it comes to defending Spencer so for that I think he's ultra cool.

As far as the sister...ehhh, don't know enough about her yet.

Aiden & Madison..that's one big WTF right there. lol I'm surprised we're seeing a different side to Madison this season; there's actually more beneath the rough 'n tough bitch mode she went through last season!

I'm glad that they're having character development. The only thing I was kinda ify on was I thought the father/daughter stuff was a tad cheesy, but it was necessary for the plot so I see why they upped the cheesy factor. lol

The thing I'm most anticipating is when Paula finds out about Spashly. HOLY CRAP that's gonna be intense and that's kinda how I expect my parents to react so that'll definitely be interesting to see. LOL Anyways, anyone else have thoughts on the premiere?

You guys do realize that there are sites that are accessible to people outside the States. Though granted, they are hard to find. (Actually I know that Showtime has site for non-US visitors, I have no idea about "The N".)

In any case, here's Episode 1 of Season 2. It's in .mov format. And just for future reference any episodes you want you can find in the SON fansite. You have to register to get in, soooo fucking worth it. This upload is from there so don't thank 'cause me I didn't do it. (Thank filmgrrl).

What did I think of the episode...?
It SUCKED BALLS!!!
WTF was that?!

I am fully aware that this show is for the children, but never have I ever seen more juvenile writing before in my life. The dialogue was actrocious so I can kind of forgive the shitty acting since there really wasn't much to work from.

One of the things I really liked about the show was the pacing of events. Things unfolded in the most natural way even though it was dealing with 3+ storylines in a half-hour format. This episode had no sense of pacing other than "faster, more drama!"

But you know what, they are probably letting everything hang now so that they can flesh it out later. I have enough faith from last season for it to be totally spoiled now.
Perhaps this show will follow the tradition of Buffy with having ultra-shitty season premieres every year.

So I just watched the 3rd episode (the season premiere was eps 1 & 2) and I thought it was better this week than last week, but I still don't think it's up to par with last season yet. Chelsea & Clay are SO cool and Clay is like the best older brother ever! I wish all family members could be as supportive as Clay. I know Ash's step-sister doesn't deserve to be treated as badly as she is, but I can't help but be annoyed with her and Aiden. WTF is with Aiden & Ashley now?? This show really IS all about the drama. lol

ok, I've seen the 3rd episode and hmmmm, Ashley seems to become a prissy b*tch and I don't like that
btw, Clay is still kind and so cute hehe I love this character
I hope this season will get better, cuz' for the moment this show has lost its "spell"
