You know, I remember when there was talk of cloning humans just for spare body parts awhile back in one of my classes and at the time I had no problem with it, but my gawd, if it's *anything* like this, then I would vote a hell no on it! Pfffhhh! Okay, so, 6th chapter was the last one I read, then I got problems with my internet connection, it went down. After 3 and half days I get back here and what do I see..? Julia and Lena are lovers and there are more Julias and Lenas than you can count... And I just thought maybe Julia is a criminal who has escaped from prison and needs to get to the Mexico or something like that but this... Oh boy! But the great thing was that there were 8 NEW CHAPTERS when I got back here ! Thanks Parrish!

*cough* Another hot chapter...

This is a fantastic story, the kind that really makes you think, so here's a few of my thoughts on cloning.

Feel free to skip to the next post since it's quite boring.

I personally don't have any problem with the idea of cloning humans as long as clones are granted full human/citizen rights and are not the property of their original. To me cloning has to be seen as an alternative way of reproduction (a lot of life forms on this very planet use cloning to reproduce). A couple wants a clone of one of them to raise as a child? Fine by me. A couple wants a clone of a deceased child? Fine by me too.

Like Parrish pointed out in her story, clones are only a copy of a body, their personalities will be different from the original. A clone of a deceased child will probably be as different from the original as a brother or a sister would. Of course Sci-Fi has offered the prospect that one day it may be possible to transfer the personality and the memory of an original to their clone. I'm not saying this will never be possible (in fact, i'm pretty sure it will) but right now we don't even have the beginning of a theory on how to achieve this. This situation will have to be dealt with by future generations and certainly not us. Clones are just humans born in a different way, nothing to be scared of, and certainly not a reason to consider them as sub-humans or non-humans. Clones ARE humans, nothing more, nothing less.

There is so much fantasy going on about clones, i remember that before animal cloning was a reality (yes, i'm that old), some people were thinking that clones from a same original would exhibit some kind of collective conscience. This assumption was based on the fact that they would share the exact same DNA and insects like ants or bees, which also share the same DNA inside a colony, seem to have a collective conscience, all individuals acting like parts of one entity, each one ready to die for the collective. The military were extremely interested by this possibility! Imagine an army of one million soldiers, all clones of the same original, acting with a collective conscience like one big entity, each soldier ready to die for the good of the collective. Unfortunately for the military, animals that have been cloned so far did not exhibit any sign of that collective conscience, mammals are not insects!

Finally, on the use of clones as body parts for organ transplants, i'll make this short. I don't have a problem with it as long as the clones are grown without brains and are therefore empty shells.

When I read the first sex scene in "Heaven and Hell," I kept hearing Jason Mewes (Jay & Silent Bob) in the back of my mind saying:

"SNOOTCHIE-BOOTCHIES!!! Aw yeah, let's see these two hotties make wit' da luuuuuv!"

I then imaginged him making lewd gestures and skipping around my room with his pants around his ankles.

So I imagined holding a large mallet, and then I imagined whacking him upside his imaginary head, knocking him unconscious.

*Sigh* Sometimes my libido can get SO out of control...

Just caught up on the updates and I was indeed smiling at the end! As far as the clones; i applaud you for writing a story of this caliber and while everyone has their own opinions on the matter, I think your story does great justice!

IVAN-1138:
Yulenka, is your mother home?

YULENKA:
Da

IVAN-1138:
May we speak with her?

YULENKA:
(New Zealand accent.)
Sure, mate.

Lena-Wan ruffles Yulenka's hair.

LENA-WAN:
Aren't you a cutie?

Yulenka eyes Lena-Wan suspiciously.

YULENKA:
Piss off, short-eyes.

LENA-WAN:
What the--

Yulenka waves the two grownups in...

INT - YULI FETTE'S APT. - DAY

YULENKA:
Mum, Ivan's here!

Yulenka leads Ivan-1138 and Lena-Wan into the space age bachelorette pad.

Out from a nearby closet steps YULI FETTE. Her face is covered in Maori tATus. She's decked out neck to foot in bad-ass body armor and wears a bitchin' rocket-pack on her back. She carries a chainsaw in one hand and a taiaha shaped like a dildo in the other. In short, a hard-core bull dyke.

IVAN-1138:
Welcome back, mistress Yuli! Was your bra-burning productive?

YULI FETTE:
(New Zealand accent.)
Fairly.

IVAN-1138:
This is Jedi Mistress Lena-Wan Kenobi. She's come to check on our progress.

YULI FETTE:
Is that right?

LENA-WAN:
Your clones are impressive. You must be very proud.

YULI FETTE:
I'm just yer average grrl who doesn't want to go through 12 hours of labor. That's fer femmes, mate.

LENA-WAN:
Amen to that. Erm... I mean, you get around?

YULI FETTE:
Been around the block.

LENA-WAN:
Ever been around a block called Castro-scant?

YULI FETTE:
Once or Twice...

LENA-WAN:
Recently?

YULI FETTE:
Possibly... sailor.

The two draw close. They finger their respective weapons.

YULI FETTE:
(To Yulenka, in Huttese.)
Tell Ivan to leave.

Yulenka walks over to Ivan-1138 and kicks him in the shin.

IVAN-1138:
OW!

YULENKA:
Take a walk, chickenhawk.

Yulenka drags Ivan to the door.

Yuli Fette eyes Lena-Wan's lightsaber and points to it.

YULI-FETTE:
Nice... unit.

LENA-WAN:
Why thank you.

YULI-FETTE:
Is it as big as they say it is? I've never seen one... up close.

LENA-WAN:
Big enough. Can't see how you could get by without one.

Yuli Fette points to her rocket pack with the GIANT FREAKIN' WARHEAD and winks.

YULI FETTE:
You have your tools, and I have mine...

The two circle each other.

LENA-WAN:
Well I guess this can go only one way.

YULI FETTE:
I guess.

Cue music: "Duel of the Fates."

LENA-WAN:
To the bitter end.

YULI FETTE:
To the end.

Pause. They lunge at each other, grab each other roughly AND...

...commence sucking face.

LENA-WAN:
I've been... Mmm...
looking forward to...
Oooh! Seeing you
in ACTION.

YULI FETTE:
Uhhnnn! I do my job
well... WOOF! I can
guarantee THAT.

They start clawing at their elaborate costumes.

YULI FETTE:
How do you take...
these stupid robes off?

LENA-WAN:
Never mind that, what
about this GIANT FREAKIN'
WARHEAD?

YULI-FETTE:
Not that switch, you'll
blow the roof off! NNGH!
Yeah... that button... right
down there... Ohhhh YEAH.

Robes flutter and armor CLATTERS to the ground. Yulenka re-enters the room.

YULENKA:
Mum, I've got the---
EWWWW! Stop hurting
Mummy!

YULI-FETTE:
Yulenka! Go um...
go to your room or...
fly around in Sex Slave I
... or something.

Yulenka covers her eyes and leaves the room.

YULENKA:
God, grownups are gross.

EPILOGUE:

Yuli Fette and Lena-Wan are wrapped in a Wookie-skin rug, sharing a deathstick between them.

LENA-WAN:
Thank you for your time, Wango-Tango Fette.

YULI FETTE:
(smirks.)
Always a pleasure doing business with a Jedi.

A loud HISSING noise erupts from Yulenka's playroom.

YULI FETTE:
(Calls out.)
Yulenka! What have I told you?

YULENKA'S VOICE:
Um... don't put Ivan in carbon freeze.

Yuli-Fette and Lena-Wan ROLLLLLL their eyes.

YULI AND LENA:
Kids...

Yulia as a Fett, i had never thought of that, but i did think she would make a decent Sith Lord! Lena is definitely a goody Jedi Knight.

Too bad Lucas said one day that no Jedis were gay. Poor comment from a rich guy.

Speaking of laughing....Me Am Hulk, you are the funniest writer I've ever read! It's not easy to get people to laugh over something that is written down rather than spoken, but you crack me up on a regular basis. If I'm ever *half* as funny as you are, in my "Tatu Take On the South" fanfic, I'll be quite pleased with myself.
