It is also the last chapter of this fic, as well as of this storyline.

Yes, I could have covered more. I could have told how Rain worked on her mother to get her to accept Yulia. How when Rain's mother *did* go to Yulia to give her Rain's journals and to say she was wrong, that Yuila's mother told Rain that Yulia's birthday wish had come true at last.

For Yulia had used her wish, to wish that Rain's mother would one day understand that they *did* love each other, and that it wasn't wrong.

I could have gone into how Rain freaked when Yuila was attacked, so afraid that she might be killed. How the man that murdered Rain was killed himself in prison before he could go to trial.

I could have covered a lot more.

But it was time to wrap this up, I felt.

And, judging by the lack of posts from you all, you must have felt the same way.

It's time to let them rest in peace, I suppose.

But I feel pretty sure that their *real* journey has only just begun.

And for all of you that read this fic, thank you. Thank you for opening your hearts up to Rain.

Well, U know that I love ur fics. I hope, U know... The ending kinda suprised me but in a good way, I must say. The only thing that would be wrong IMO is stopping somewhere before the "Grave" scene. But U went even futher. It was a good decision. This way U gave happyend not only for Yulia and Lena but Rain as well (and I feel a great sympathy for this character). So, 3 of them together... couldn't be better.
Thank U so much for this marvelous story and hope U are gonna continue this way. I know U will, as it's the only way possible but wish U luck still. The best thing is that U grow as an author with every new chapter and fic. So, I know we won't be ever frustrated
Hope one day ur fics will become a bit less tragic. It would be worse for the readers but it would mean something good for U. Take care.

Just so you know, I really, REALLY liked this one. I think it was awesome that you made all of us love and care about a character other than Yulia or Lena. That takes some major talent. ^_^

Anyway, I love the ending, even if I'm kind of sad it's over. I'm going to miss Rain... Still, well done my friend! And since the occasion calls for it, I must say it. YOU ROCK!

I'm late but i have to thank you for this story! It's actually the first fan fic i've read, Rachel convinced me to read this one and i thank her for that. I read the whole story two nights ago and i was blown away, i hadn't felt such a wave of emotions in a long time. You did an amazing job in giving life to Rain, such a strong and wonderful character, i felt, loved, suffered, and cried with her in every chapter. The rape/murder scene left me in shock, i had to take a break after reading it. From that point, the emotions, the terrible pain experienced by both Rain and Yulia was almost unbearable, i truly felt their pain (i lost someone too and it made my own pain surface again). By the time i finished this story i was emotionally drained. I'm glad the characters finally found their peace but so much was taken from Rain, she had so little time to live.
I'm sad that Rain is definitely gone, i understand you had to let her rest. But Rain will stay in me forever.

Wow....thank you, Haku. For letting me know how you felt about this fic.

This one, and the fic that goes with it (Close Enough To Touch), were by *far* the most difficult emotionally for me to write. So it has even more of an effect on me when people say they connected to it.
