Why not. This thread was dead anyway, like all the threads i create. I posted the vid here coz i couldn't find a Robbie Williams thread and i didn't want to create a new thread for that since it would have died rapidly like all the others, lol.

No, i don't especially like him, lol, though what he does is better than the average boysband material. I cap Hit Machine every week, just in case there's something interesting, and i noticed a few people said they liked Robbie Williams recently, so i thought i would upload the vid since i capped the show anyway. Plus seeing him licking those girls in the public is rather funny.

i do. i even listened to MCR, but they just weren't my cup of tea and i'm quite positive the other ones won't be either. you can't make one person like what you like simply because - oh the cliche - we have different tastes and we can't choose what to like or not. no offence here, but for me a guy screaming over some heavy guitar riffs just doesn't do the job, mainly because i can't understand what he screams (the lyrics). of course, i looked on the internet and words which involve blood, violence and a high dose of depression aren't to my liking. i prefer nice melodies with sensitive lyrics and Robbie Williams, for example, happens to have what i'm looking for. and i don't hate artists and bands or quit liking them just because they are or went mainstream.

Am I supposed to fall to my knees and thank you just because you were gracious enough to listen to MCR?
If you'd bother to listen to any of my choices you'd realise that they're nothing like My Chemical Romance. You are generalising my taste in music while lambasting me for doing the same thing to you. It's highly hypocritical of you.

no. and i don't see why you're getting so offensive again. i'm just barely trying to have a conversation here.

thank you ever so much. look, what you like i perceive as rock (alternative, heavy, metal, whatever - it all falls in the great category of "rock"). i don't make the difference between MCR and, say, 36 crazyfists. they all sound the same to me. and i won't even dare to assume that Robbie sounds the same as some other pop artist to you, because i risk you jumping at my throat for insulting your intelligence. and i was not "lambasting" you for generalizing my taste in music. i'd understand if you did that and wouldn't blame you. anyhow, i think i'll just leave you there looking down on us mortals from your self-built pedestal, wanting to seem all high, mighty and tougher than tough. enjoy the view. i won't bother you anymore.

Why does everyone here seem to think that I have some kind of superiority complex? Just cos I think your taste in music is shite doesn't mean that I think I'm better than any of you.
Some of you have some serious self-esteem issues if you're gonna get all upset over a music discussion.
Just for the record: I don't think I'm any better or any worse than anyone here. For some strange reason the majority of you just seem to grossly misinterpret everything I say.

Ok, well I just discovered a clip, First Day by Timo Maas featuring some girl and Brian Molko from Placebo - a nice little song, and the video clip is kind of weird, morphy and trippy - the camera moves around a dark alleyway with really "alternative" people dancing and lurching about. Looks like certain parts play forwards and backwards and then morph into the next bit..

With lyrics like "I see you've found my underground, help yourself to guns and ammo" what's not to like! (Dunno if it aired much anywhere.)

Also, finally found the clip for Southern Sun by Paul Oakenfold which was my favorite song a number of years back... The clips consists of pretty model being photographed on the beach by a greasy looking photographer, she faints when she catches the sun in her eyes... wakes up and runs off in to the forest.. she is transformed into a much younger (like 6 years old) version of herself, hops into a metal cube and flies off into outerspace... who needs drugs!!
