Igor, if you'd be willing to explain what WAP is. Maybe they use other letters for it here?

WAP is a communication protocol that allows mobile phones (or other mobile devices like PDAs) to access the internet.

And no, i don't use a WAP mobile phone.

For more information:
http://www.wapforum.org/what/index.htm

Or check the WAP page on the website of your local mobile phone operator.

My phone supports WAP too, and I've used it when I downloaded ring signals but I know absolutely nothing about it and that's probably why my money disappear so fast when I surf from my phone.

I had free MMS for a few days. Of course since I normally don't use it either I didn't have a connection for it at the phone. Then I ordered one, but it didn't arrive until the free days were over and done with. Only sent one MMS so far.. to myself

well, WAP isn't comfortable to use IMO. But GPRS itself is ok. PDA + mob with GPRS and u have ICQ, mail and so on with U wherever U go

Well I have a WAP phone but never use it. *shrugs* didn't need it so far. There are always people around me who have WAP too and want to show off that they have it. Why blow my credit if they are willing to blow theirs?

well, here it doesn't cost really much... if U don't use it as an alternative for a normal PC, U won't spend much. Beeline takes 11 cents a day or so 0_0

I have WAP on my cell phone but have used it only once, just about of curiosity. The sites suck completely, it's hard to navigate with those clumsy keys... and not to mention that my phone doesn't suppoert GPRS yet so it's anything but friendly to the wallet. Oy!

Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

no WAP here :(

I don't think any mobile service provider on Guam has such capabilities. Guam is so behind

I use it for checking my yahoo Japan mail account and downloading the occasional ringtone, but otherwise it's a bit crap because there's not a lot of English content (Japanese requires much more concentration) and I can't access things like Yahoo UK's mobile provision. If you can't make use of the features that make the internet useful (e.g. sites in other countries), then it's not a lot of use, IMHO.

TBH, I think that most Japanese people use their phones for SMS rather than internet.
