Our bodies are made up of energy - energy (for our scientists) cannot be created or destroyed. So what happens to that energy once the body has ceased working?

I used to think that when you die, you could pick someone and like steal their body and their life... Although I havn't a clue what actually made me think like that... This was when I was like 7...

I have no clue what happens after death. However, I'm more agreeable with reincarnation as a theory.

Interesting question.
 I was brought up with the teaching of reincarnation, but now it just doesn't make sense to me anymore. According to what I was taught, everything u do would be counted. good and bad. if u did something really terrible in this life, u'd be punished, and reborn as animals, or something unworthy, not humans. you'll have to live that miserable life to repay ur bad deeds. the idea sounds so far off to me. I just can't think of any way to calculate how bad, or good, in everything we do. humans are no math equations. so i discard the idea..for now. I *think* after we die, we just disappear, or that's what I hope for. I'm very curious. Sometimes I wish I have nine lives, so i can kill myself and find out what happen after life. if i don't like it, then i'll come back. LOL. sorry, off-topic. |

We don't know and maybe we won't know?
All it is is a state, a state of existence and a state of non-existence. And one only knows the former and not the latter, we never know how it was before we existed. Are there people who claim that they were "conscious" in their mother's womb or in the clinic just after they were born? I think it's not possible, it takes some time until the human being begins to realize the surroundings and maybe even more until one starts to remember. On the other hand, if the afterlife is a state of non-existence you're abruptly switched to that state when you die. ( hence the fear of death ) And even if you return in another shape or form you wouldn't be conscious of your previous existence, would you? To me the soul existing in another dimension seems more credible than being reincarnated and returning to our dimension. Then the most logically explainable theory is that you just die but I hope there's something more to it. |
