Also, I forgot to mention that P!nk was also on dateline lastnight, I didn't catch the whole interview because I didn't know she was to be on it but it was a fun interview, she was talking about her marriage and the guy said that pink was in charge or something. Or straightforward because she proposed and this is exactly what she said, my memory is good sometimes.

"Well I had told him I don't believe in marriage and if he asked me I'd be walk out the door. So I asked him"

Then she said.

"It's great, I really like him"

and the interviewer said that her comment was the nicest thing he had ever heard someone say about their spouse.
Then lastly they discussed a message P!nk put up on her website talking about she never wants to be perfect and she said.

I really don't.

she laughed and then said

But I'm not worried about it,

indicating that she's too fucked up to be perfect

Okay so she was on Oprah Winfrey's show today. And it went good. It was actually reall cool because it wasn't just press for her album. They were discussing the whole concept of stupid girls today along with an author of some book. And the woman who used to recruit for Girls Gone Wild. P!nk was cool she was talking about how girls are constantly dumbing themselves down for boys heres a bit of what I can remember. Oprah had a tendency to drag stuff on so I might cut a bit of her text and such

Oprah: Well alot of it happens even before their teenagers, girls are told at an early age not to be smart, don't be good in math because it might intimidate the boys, don't be good in sports because it might intimidate the boys.
P!nk: See with me it was the opposite, my brothers told me that I was a girl so I couldn't skate, so I was like alright now I'm going to became a better skateboarder then you.

There was also a clip of these four girls in the audience talking about how they dumb themselves down for boys, and spend alot on clothes and this one chick said that she knows lots of celebrities get plastic surgery and she will get some too (obviously she hasn't seen the awful celebrity plastic surgery site ) And P!nk look really pissed at the girls, like she was getting ready to curse at them but didn't cause she was on the Oprah show

She also mentioned that girls she portrayed in her videos aren't stupid they are just dumbing themselves down to make themselves cute and they shouldn't do that. And this is the end of my review, I'll try to find a transcript of the show though, cause I was half asleep at the time.

Lol, I thought everyone was so over the "girls being dumb" shit, I can't believe there are ladies out there who still make themselves seem like total dumbasses for some boy.

I think that's wrong, and I agree (to a certain extent) with the message Pink projected in the video, but as I said before, I think it's awful how she included the throwing-up-in-the-bathroom part. I mean, I can laugh at that and the whole video in general because the video itself isn't meant to be so serious, but I think she went way over the top with the bulimia thing.

The video was freaking hilarious though. If I was Pink, I'd go slap those girls in the audience

I actually liked the bulimia thing, I feel that eating disorders are something we need to address and everyone else is too afraid to touch on such subjects, and I'll never understand why girls would dumb themselves down...I mean if I was straight I wouldn't want to date some hot girl if she was stupid...

Oh of course, but I don't think it fit with the whole theme of being stupid. I don't know why I keep standing up for people with eating disorders, but I must say it again; I really don't think it's about being stupid, or wanting to be thin for somebody else. I think there's more to it, and what Pink did was she made eating disordered people seem like they were doing it for attention, or because they were silly/stupid.

I don't think she was calling the people who had the eating disorder stupid, more so she was referring to the concept of eating disorders stupid as no one needs to fit someone elses view of perfect.

Oh and thanks for the text and pics, of course i didn't look on oprah's site. I'm slow at times.

My new favorite quote ever is when Oprah asked P!nk if the people she impersonated had given her any comments about the video and P!nk is like. "They don't have my number"...it amused me so much and I don't even know why.

P!nk is shooting a video for the song "Who Knew" this weekend with the directing team of Sam Bayer, Robert Hales and Brian Lazzaro, otherwise known as Dragon.

The concept is full of power and emotion, just like the song. You can look forward to yet another visually stimulating stunner when all is said and done.

Pink Live in NYC

P!nk put on a great show April 5, 2006 at a New York City gig to promote her new cd. She sang old hits such as, Get The Party Started, Just Like A Pill, and more. She also sang many new songs on her new album, Im Not Dead. Even a duet with her dad on I Have Seen The Rain. It was an amazing gig and can now be viewed on VH1's VSPOT.
