French Open had a little less for the winner of the men's singles - 981 881,35 USD this May. I guess, that 1 million is just a "normal" amount for the tennis aces. The tournament in itself is a Grand Slam thingi. Worth to watch without any doubt. I just hope that Eurosport will broadcast the event in the same way that it did for French Open. The coverage was good then.

Damn it! That pile of fat Pierce has beaten Sharapova. I can't stand Pierce.

She's not fat, it's just Sharapova who's too skinny

Did you see what happened today? Some comical umpire deprived Serena Williams from her entry to the semis.
Eurosport has stopped covering the Flushing Meadow and now everything, I mean absolutely everything is covered by Sky Sports here. So no more tennis for me, I'm afraid - until I give in and get Sky Sports . |

Agassi will not go down easily..As for Henman, I was probably right when I said he's playing the best tennis of his career especially now that he'll make it into the second semi in one season. Is that enough to win a grand-slam? I still don't think so...

Kuznetsova is in the final, good! I hope Dementieva can do the same.
Mauresmo is now #1 at the WTA ranking, transcend is going to be delighted. *champagne* |

So, we're going to have yet another Russian Grand Slam winner then. Great news. I'm absolutely delighted, I was getting very worked up towards the end of Dementieva's match.
Henman does have the type of game that can beat Federer, and his record against him is very good. He's also playing more consistently than he ever has done. But I still can't see him dealing with the pressure tomorrow. |

hehehe...
I'll be watching tonight coz I found a satellite channel that I think covers the tournament ( RTL5 ). Lets see if Tim can play the biggest game of his life, and there's also the Russian final oh yeah surprise surprise, Tim seems to be doing again what he always does in crucial matches: lose in straight sets |

Anyway, Henman... I thought in the third set he was a bit upset at the prospect of losing 6-1 that he really tried. When he won a few more games and had a break he must have thought: "okay, now that's a good way to lose"... |

Hmmm, I suppose if Federer wins it'll be in straight sets or four sets. Personally, I followed the same pattern as with Wimbledon, double combo on the underdog in womens, favourite in mens ( Kuznetsova & Federer ).
Can you get handicap betting @ 1.5 sets? |

Yeah actually, I also wanted to tell you to take Federer in three. The only way he can be beaten - by anybody - is if he has a bad day. If things go according to plan, he's gonna beat Sampras' record and be the greatest tennis player of all time

Yes...good. Roger's the man. I just wish Amelie could raise herself up to become the woman. It's a terrific achievement to become no. 1 but without even a single Grand Slam final appearance this year to back it up, it rings somewhat hollow.

a bit late, but my favorite won for sure.
Not too pleased about Williams getting injured since it ruins the victory a bit. Then again I'm convinced that Sharapova would have won no matter what. Even though she played a bad first half of the 3rd set |
